We’ve signed some of the most exciting young attackers/creators in football: Palmer, Estevao, Paez, Santos to name but a few.Now the Managers ‘style’ seems to be the anti-football approach, no risks, no rewards just recycle.Forgive me if I’m wrong but they seem to be counter intuitive to one another. If we want to implement the style Maresca wants to play then we’re signing and identifying the wrong players and the project is redundant?Nicely summarized in terms of the plan. This is how I see the plan is. Or at least the implementation of it as is.However I am not sure Enzo's tactics are this 100% or whether the team is even close of playing like Enzo wants. I see a balanced version of the football this side can play as we saw earlier in the season and this recycling version where the idea is not to face the opposition 1v1 or shorts in the proverbial ankles. I think the level of talent we have we can play multiple ways. It is very tough to learn as we go and take results as well on the way especially with young inexperienced players. If we replace Enzo when seemingly he is backed by players and club we reset the game again.

April 26, 20251 yr That hConspiracy theory….. if you like. Not doing political satire here. Another forum. Let’s just say there is a large control group and every politician is like me in it.4 hours ago, C3blue said:No company can take a man to court, only a company can take another. Like that helps🙄Yeah, I saw the Sovereign Citizen and Freeman on the land stuff years ago. As you say, for a different thread . Just one question. Are you saying that if I declare myself to be not a company " then the old bill can't take me to court ...even if I murder someone ?.Maybe we might continue elsewhere ?? April 26, 20251 yr Here we goThe first-half, we controlled the game, dominated, created chances and didn’t concede anything,” Maresca said. “Then second half, we dropped a bit. It’s part of the game.“The good thing was we were strong, nasty enough when we needed to be. We deserved to win the game and we’re happy.”“You can see the teammates, how they celebrated with him at the end of the game,” Maresca said. “The team know that for Robert it has not been a good moment so they try to support him and to help him.Robert had already many good moments this season. It’s normal that as a human being you always remember the bad things and not the good things, so about Robert we remember just the mistakes but also he had some very good moments. Hopefully, he can continue until the end.”

April 26, 20251 yr Like my previous post if we get CL and win the conference league we are stuck with this sh*te football for another two seasons. He’s not going anywhere with Beavis and Butthead needing to justify another sh*te decision. It will be a good short term high will a loooong term low.

April 27, 20251 yr HERES SOME MORE BOLLOX In the second half he said his team “dropped” a bit, but in the first half their tempo was “very good”. He said that the warm weather, at 20 degrees, had caused them to slow down. It’s not a great excuse, especially considering they had a full week to rest before this one20 DEGREES TOO HOT?HOW HOT WILL IT BE AT THE CLUB WORLD CUP?

We usually play better when the sun comes out 😆Also, a lot of these players come from warmer climates. Sanchez, Cucurella, Caicedo, Enzo, Neto, Jackson. That's half of yesterday's starting 11. Also, if has that kind of effect on us, why didn't it do the same to Everton's players? It's just excuses from Maresca.
April 27, 20251 yr He got the 3 points vs Everton but the real test starts now vs Liverpool, Newcastle, United and Forest. i reckon we‘ll still need at least another two wins as a minimum. Plus the business end in the conference. Let’s see what he’s made of.

April 28, 20251 yr We're going to beat Liverpool, United and draw with Forest away to secure 5th place. That would be some feat, but does he still deserve to be kept on?
April 28, 20251 yr This is his level, he had absolutely no idea how to combat with the substitutions Moyes made.....Moyes for f**ks sake....

He should've gone a while ago now, but sadly I think he's here next season no matter what happens...
April 28, 20251 yr Hot take: would be excellent to see us win a couple of these games and reach the CL spot. And to continue with the coach that is one season more experienced and knows his squad and has a chance to maybe help to decide which players to bring in to suit the style of play. Remember we don't need to be with the ball as much if we just finish the chances we are able to create. Now we need to hold on the ball as we can score maybe one goal a game. Gladly Liverpool, MU, Newcastle and Nottingham won't sit back like many of the sides we are unable to break. And at the point we are better as a squad we absolutely need to be able to recycle with possession. And I think we can as we have the personnel for it. It is about finding a balance with the game. I think a bit too much is made of the style of play. Young players have much bigger scale of high and low in confidence. Just look at Cole Palmer. We have to accept it is so. If the club doesn't accept it, they need to buy experience. If they don't understand that I think they are in a wrong line of work. And to reiterate I am not a fan of Enzo Maresca. I think he's done an okay job as a first season coach and I like to see him fulfill his potential as a coach with us. I think he is smart and he has a good background as a player and assistant coach. If the players decide he is not for us and the club as well fine. I don't like the idea of club replacing coach because fans don't particularly like his style of football in a certain moment of a season. To me that is horrible managing of a club.

To me that is horrible managing of a club.As much as I berate Enzo, it's not because I don't think he is a good manager. He would be perfectly fine at a top club like a Kompany at Bayern. The issue is we are not at that level and I don't believe a manager like Enzo is one that can develop a team, especially one filled with such young players, to that level. He's the sort of manager you want to that come in when everything is already established. To me it is a big risk to ask him to lead this project, more so than the likes of Potter and Poch. I could be wrong and he does what Pep did at Barca for us, here's hoping anyway, but I'm not very confident.
