Imo Maresca will end up where Poch and Potter did, given their compo by use because their inept management combined with our cr@p recruitment.

5 points from 12 of Pool, Toon,  United and Arsenal. Not good enough imo. Does not have a big game mindset.

So let's see how you do with above Maresca, the minimum we should get imo.

Agreed, and what I put forward would give us 11.

Maresca appears scared of the big games and happily settles for a point. 2 points from 12 vs City, Pool, United and Arsenal.

However he did coach a home win to Newcastle so he should be able to do the same vs Villa, and get us up to at least 13. Leicester, Saints and Brentford (despite poor record) there is 0 excuses for not picking up wins.

I will be honest I don't like him,I don't think he is fully cut out for the chelsea job.

Just read a stat, we have zero wins in 24 against Arsenal, Liverpool and City. 

I think our lack of results over the last few years against the teams at the top is simply where we’ve been as a club.

We have no divine right to be top 4 every year. I think a lot of fans still think we are the club we were. We aren’t and haven’t been for a while. When Roman came in we had to better Utd and Arsenal and that was about it. Now it’s Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle. The league is much more difficult.

We’re very early into a new project and it’s only now we are beginning to see any sort of plan begin to work.

We are third. I’m reasonably happy with what I’ve seen this season so far. After the next seven league games is the time to look at how we are doing and I expect to be still in the top 4.

And I would point the finger at the players against City, Liverpool, Utd and Arsenal when too many underperformed. Whether that was Maresca’s tactics or a lack of belief I’m not sure.

We are doing ok and I believe we will continue to improve this season.

It’s highly unlikely we will win every game against the so called lesser sides. We’re not ready to do that and haven’t done it since Conte. I’m more confident we’ll beat Villa and Spurs than winning all of the rest. Given our disciplinary and GK issues it just takes a sending off or a Sanchez howler and that’s easily 3 or 4 points gone.
 

25 or 26 points from that list and we’ll comfortably be in the top 4.

If we were away then I'm not sure. Brentford are a different force when they're at home. Fortunately it's at the Bridge. Should win this.

Lost the last 3 at home to them, 2 of which we did not score in I believe.

Their fans refer to the Bridge as a second home, treat it as their own 3 point Lane. Form means nothing for such games, just look at what we did at OT, where every other side, bar Everton, has a lot of fun.

Why are Arsenal better than us? Even without Saka they just look like a better team that can go on a winning run. 

Is Maresca as good as Arteta and just needs a few more years under his belt? Or is our squad really just not that good as we believe?

Mate Saka is overrated because he is English, he is not actually that good. They won't miss him, young player who replaced him is actually a better footballer.

The number of players Maresca appears to not rate or have fallen out with is very concerning. It's only January for f**k's sake!

I have no sympathy. It's his own fault for taking a job at a company who were stupid enough to sign João Félix twice. He should have known better.

More worrying is the number of players who have fallen out with and don't rate Maresca. Where's that dressing room gone?
