The board need to learn from this.

A - Transfer deadline day deals are too risky

B - stop trying to be over friendly with other rival clubs (most of them wouldn't even sell to us let alone loan us a player)

Make no mistake, this deal not getting done is a problem. We needed the depth.

I do question what 47M would have bought us - gave me doubts just based on how little quality clubs get for that price nowadays.

But, I’d rather have had the chance to see

Balogun deal to Everton is off!

What madness!

Karma!

Let’s hope Monaco get a knock on the door from UEFA regarding PSR. Might even get Camera at a discount in January

The agreement was by email, then they refused to sign the contract and sold Balagun to Everton instead.

What a horrible club.

I hope the Everton deal falls through then they have money worries and ultimately get relegated in the near future!

And so it begins...

Next stage FFP worries and then relegation 😂

Isnt there cases where the paperwork was sent before the deadline but the final parts finalised after in some kind of special dispensation period?

Yeah, don't think it was because a club changed their mind though.

Apparently any deal can't be resurrected because Monoco refused to sign the Deal Sheet.

Monoco and Everton has f**ked themselves, seeing that Everton let Beto go and now they now only have Barry as their one striker.

Couldn't have happened to two nicer football clubs 😂.

Only way we’re doing/trying to do business with them again is if they sack whoever was involved, which is looking like Thiago Scuro their CEO.

Monaco are in a deficit and needed one of these sales to go through, so hopefully some heads will roll, and we can get a clean slate with the club. Otherwise, looking like Camara is a Liverpool player, despite the fact he was HERE, doing the medical, probably posed with the number 8 shirt for the official photo’s 🤦‍♂️

Let's see if reports that "everything was agreed, signed" are true. If so Eghbali has to take some sort of legal action.

It seems the PL 'deal sheet' was agreed but the contract for sale itself was yet to be concluded, so unlikely to have much grounds and in any event it would be for the principle rather than any monetary gain.

Ligue Un already imposed a wage cap sanction for non-compliance, and that was on the assumption that they could still sell players to improve their financial position.

Someone at Monaco better know how to grovel in Arabic or Turkish

Went to bed then woke up with the worst news possible.

On the club for leaving it late but f**king hell Monaco.

Maybe there's a blessing somewhere in this but hopefully our midfield's legs can carry us til Jan or we loan someone

I wonder if there is a possibility to go to CAS over this.

Sure, but we will not get much more than a few million in compensation, at the very best. It almost wouldn't be worth the legal fees. It would be different if Camara himself objected to Monaco's decision, or believes he was inconvenienced, then FIFA might consider sporting sanctions as there would be a contractual stability issue.

Hopefully CAS rules that the breach is so severe that Monaco must not just refund us for Laurence Stewart, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile, but actually have to take them back as well as penance.

Certainly the player must feel like taking his case to CAS the way he was messed around.

The AI overlords say he would have no ground to do so.

We could take the issue to CAS OR FIFA but it would be a complex and unprecedented thing to do. So looks like that's that.

Monaco left scrambling to get a club from turkey, Saudi or Portugal to buy either player, or someone else. My guess would be their Russian midfielder to Saudi.

So it's on the player to kick up a fuss. Which is rather unlikely really, especially if he does actually want to go to Liverpool.

Ben Jacobs has reported Liverpool DID contact both Monaco and the player to ask them to wait and that is why the plug was pulled on the deal, maybe that is what camara also wanted.
