But still this is a huge loss, terry carvahlo partnership in the back is key along with cech. Now it will most likely be alex and terry with cudicini until carvahlo comes back. NO BEN HAIM! The Moos
Oh, f*ck! First our manager who has given us success goes and is replaced by a fat piece of s*it who don't know anything. Then when we finally look like being on track again we lose JT and then Cech and now Riccy for 2 months. What's next Drogba and Lamps injured? If this continues we won't have a team when Essien and the rest goes to play in the ANC (or whatever it's called).
abramovich
That 'fat piece of sh*t who doesn't know anything' didn't do too bad considering the circumstances he has found himself under. In fact, i doubt Mourinho would have done any better. Last season when we were struggling Jose was moaning after every below standard performance how any team that's missing Terry and Cech would find it hard to get results. What would he say now? Cech is out again and the only defenders that haven't been injured yet this season are the three newcomers: Alex,Belletti and Ben-Haim.

mad_mac
HOw soon until Terry is back, this is all too remnicent of last season, Cech is out, terry is out, and our only hope of glory might ust be the CL Scott
callista
That 'fat piece of sh*t who doesn't know anything' didn't do too bad considering the circumstances he has found himself under. In fact, i doubt Mourinho would have done any better. Cech is out again and the only defenders that haven't been injured yet this season are the three newcomers: Alex,Belletti and Ben-Haim. What circumstances? We were 2 points off the top of the league with he took over, hardly desparate. If Grant wanted desparate how about taking over Spurs in the relegation zone now that's tough! I don't think JM would have done any better either but then I don't think he could have done any worse considering the low calibre of some of our opposition recently, given the fact that we were up against sides of which most have been either in or are hovering just above the relegation zone and the two CC games have been against two non PL sides. As for moaning or starting on the excuses well Grant is starting to learn from his predecessor: "We have too many injuries. It is not easy to play without all the back four and goalkeeper from the last few months". No it isn't but that's what appears will be happening and it's something the previous manager had to deal with as well be it moaning endlessly about it or not. I think most managers do moan about injuries at some point - JM wasn't the only culprit in that regard surely? May be he was just more vocal about it, or our injuries that we suffered last year were quite sustantial so he had a point to be dissatisfied with his lot. Now we have poor Riccy out and it just seems never ending, a real blow as he is such a brilliant defender but this is what it's all about running a big club like Chelsea coping (or not) with such eventualities, Grant if he wants this job so much and to prove to everyone he is a top calibre coach will have to deal with it - seems by his statements that he is saying he will do so. He doesn't really have any other choice. Grant could always start using some of the players he seems to have benched and see if they have what it takes and are up for the challenge. JT may well be back soon, we should be grateful for international week. At least we have the cash to buy our way out of trouble if things go totally pear shaped which is more than some clubs can boast.
JT26CFC
well we got incredibally lucky. Imagine if we had fixtures this weekend. Most likely Terry will be back after the international break(about 2 weeks from now) that's what the club has said. But this is starting to feel like last season all over again,

The Brit
I thought that we had used up all our misfortune regarding injuries last season and yet this one is just as bad...looks like we're paying the price for winning two titles...our luck has run out for sure

loz
With my England hat on - if Russia fail to beat Israel then I hope JT can be rushed back. Risky I know and my allegiances do lie far more with Chelsea than with England however I also hate the idea of a European Championship without England in it (no matter how likely it is that McLaren is going to lead us into embarassment). So if we need to win at Wembley on Wednesday we have much more chance of doing it with JT at the back - however only only if he is fit. If he is played when he is only 80% then that is car crash time

ethicalstrategy
Hmm. I think we should wait and see what Chelsea have to say about Carvalho. The Portuguese national team coach won't be deciding how long it will take for him to recover.

England not making it past the group stages in the championship = What we expect Also, a European Championship without England just isn't the same. Doesn't matter how badly they do they still belong in it.
