Phillip
I am voting for no one. This was plain and simple embarrasing, We deserved to lose, not even a draw would have been a fair result for Boro. No passion from anyone, and no one can shoot straight. About 5,000 to 10,000 empty seats from what I can tell from the television -- why is that? Azz
Carvalho. Great header for the goal and solid at the back.
Phillip
Yes, but what about his two giveaways in the last 15 minutes? I guess he was the best of the bunch, but boy, what a rotten bunch of apples!

loz
I voted Drogba as I thought he worked like a horse from start to finish. Carvalho did play well until the last 15 minutes when he went to pieces a bit. Joe also played well but I thought he held on to the ball for too long on too many occasions. As a team we were far ar too sloppy in possession in the last half an hour.

No passion from anyone, and no one can shoot straight. About 5,000 to 10,000 empty seats from what I can tell from the television -- why is that? Wasnt embarrassing, i mean we won . Barnsley was embarrassing! That was however just sh*t basically. 2nd half was worst. Sadly it was predictable how we were going to finish the game from about the hour mark. Im not biased when it comes to Joe Cole (like some) but he was mom easy, today he stood out like a sore thumb. And not for the first time in recent months either. Phillip
I thought Drogs was our third worst player out there (Kalou and SWP were the worst). He could not control anything, and while he worked hard, so does a pack mule. To give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps that knock he took just before the first half stayed with him, but he was playing poor before that occurred. Phillip
That's right. I had blocked that from my mind, but you are right in that Essien stunk up the joint. He is now a shadow of his former self.

loz
Bridge for me .We did not play well at all very poor ............. Thinking back I would actually say that Bridge is a pretty good shout and if I could I would change my vote to him. Defended well and it was god to see a full back bomobing forward at pace and still in good control of the ball.
Chippy
Bridge for me, good Free kick and got forward well, I thought Essien looked like he was getting better and did'nt think Drogba was bad until later in the second half.

tommygun
Joe Cole for me, looked lively and always tried Awful performance as expected after an international break Still lucky we get the three points !! Need to step up against Fener Kalou, Essien and Belletti the worst players for me Ballack also didn't play well as he seems very tired at the moment but we obviously didn't control the midfield after his sub Happy with the win tough

About 5,000 to 10,000 empty seats from what I can tell from the television -- why is that? You may need to adjust your television Phillip. There were just under 40,000 there - presumably less than normal as there were hardly any Boro fans. As for deserving to lose - I don't think that's true. We were miles better than them for most of the match. It was at the end that we fell apart and we couldn't have complained if they had got an equaliser then. MOM is difficult once again because were really very poor for a lot of the game. Carvalho did pretty well as did Mikel. Hard to see much beyond either of those two. Drogba, Kalou, Cole were all frustrating. Essien looks a shadow of his former self. Belletti is a defensive liability and Carlo was all over the place. Grant hasn't got a clue. Chelle22
Have to say I was having trouble between Carvalho/Cole/Kalou for MOTM - I thought Kalou worked hard. Dids should have been brought off at about 20 minutes as he was pulling up. Its a win but not as we would like it. There were about 39,000 at the Bridge but at the end of the day its down to us fans to make sure every game is a sell out.
coombsie
Can't believe that I am the only one to vote for the "Ess" Express. Thought Essien was back to his imperious best today. Huge work rate, great tackling, but probably should have scored with one of his long range thunderbolts. Ricci, then Joe for me otherwise

It was down to Boro that is was a poor crowd, they had the corners as usual but I would be suprised if they had more than 500 in there. That leaves around 2000 seats empty which is the difference between the 39k and the usual 41.5k. We were singing " Did you all come on one bus" to the Boro faithful
