Cech looked pretty sharp, his handling of crosses looks back to his best, and he wasn't at fault for the goal. There really weren't many candidates today. JT and Carv did ok, but Lamps, Deco, Essien, Malouda, Anelka were all medicore at best.

Terry for me too. Did anyone else find Lampard absolutley shocking, Deco too.

gave it to essien...not fully fit but still got stuck in and was behind some of our best moments...find it bizarre people went for cech or terry...they had nothing to do...spurs came here for a draw, got lucky with the equaliser and just set about stopping us from playing...it worked well to be fair, but it meant our defence was barely tested...thought we ran out of ideas and really missed flair out wide and drogba up front...scolari wanted more fire from anelka...he can't even light a barbecue at the moment

Cech - 7 Played well. Not at fault for the goal

Bosswinger - 6 Gets into good positions but couldn't deliver the final ball. With spurs parking the bus denying him the chance to use his pace he didn't seem much of a threat. I'd have brought him off instead of Belletti and put Belletti at RB.

Carvalho - 7 Good

Terry - 7 Good

Cole - 7 Good

Belletti - 6 Typical Belletti. Mixed the sublime with the awful. Scored and his ball to Anelka was the highlight of the game, but then spent much of rest of the game trying to repeat a miracle 30 yard pass when there were simplier options available. Couldn't tackle. Showed us how good Mikel has become.

Essien - 8 MOTM. The Spurs midfield were scarred to go near him.

Lampard - 6. Hard to rate. We dominated the Spurs midfield and scarcely created a clear chance. Frank can take his share of the credit and blame for that.

Deco - 6. Hard to rate. Many poor touches, but some quality too. See Lampard.

Cole - 7 Good.

Anelka - 6. Had one chance and couldn't take it. Didn't play poorly, but wasn't a threat.

----

Malouda - 5 small opportunity. smaller impact.

Kalou - 6 Got into promising positions and then failed

Di Santo - 5 Didn't get a chance, so his rating is based purely on his haircut

Shocked to see people give it to Essien - I thought it was possibly the worst 90 minutes from him I have ever seen and the only thing that staggers me more than the fact he lasted the whole 90 minutes was Belletti starting as a deep lying midfielder.

Have to disagree with you there Loz. Thought Essien was head and shoulders above everyone else yesterday. The only player who really looked like he was giving 100% and was willing to try and up the tempo. The others were all too laid back and there was little urgency until the 4 minutes of injury time.

We should have been 3-0 up at half time but the second half was extremely poor.

I agree with Loz, he was very poor. Misplaced a lot of passes and overan the ball a lot.

I went for Terry but no-one really excelled.

Essien did well in the first half, particularly when he won three successive 50:50 balls before running on and hitting the bar with a screamer. But he is clearly not fit and ran out of steam completely in the second half.

I'm also surprised that Carvalho is getting votes. I thought it was one of his poorer performances. He looked very casual on a number of occasions and made some very poor defensive headers.

We still lack a threat up front. Anelka has done nothing to convince me that he should be starting for us and playing Cole in behind him has been spectacularly ineffective.

Yep, same here.

Same for me - not one of Mikey's best.

But I'm AMAZED to read all this stick for Lamps. I have actually stuck my neck out and voted for Frank (and I don't often, even though we all love him). In the first half I thought he was very industrious and he at least tried to make things work when he was on the ball. Sorry, lads - I must have been watching a different game. But then, I had downed a few Stellas! :D

Riccy was a diamond, though, as ever.

But we need to put this one behind us! Hurry back Didier.

Either JT or Carvalho, defence was ship shape.

I went for Carvalho.

Coco could I ask you to keep a careful eye on Carvalho's distribution in the next couple of games? Overheard a fella in the Maltsers afterwards saying to his mates how bad Riccy's passing was. 100% agree. IMO his passing, (normally, one of his strengths), has been iffy in all three games so far.

Best on the pitch yesterday was Gareth Bale. Quality player.

I know what you mean Just, but he never really put us in any trouble from it. Did you ask this fella why he wasnt moaning about Lampard, who would of been very worthy of it ?

Carvalho' distibution wasnt the problem yesterday mate. Lampards was utterly s**t !

But Carvalho' positioning was quality as usual.

To prove my point, Sp**s had 1 shot on/off target the whole match, obviously that was the goal. They did however have 4 shots blocked. Compared to our 10 shots off target and 2 on target.

But I really dont understand why Carvalho was getting the flack off this fella, I can think of at least 6 players more worthy of the flack than Carvalho.

Cant really vote for this as I missed the 1st 35 minutes of the match (due to incompetent arrogant box office tossers) but from what I saw, none of our guys deserved MOM - not good at all - Scolari has a lot of work to do

I thought that Carvalho did cause us quite few problems with his casual passing and some very poor defensive headers. He reminded me of how he was when he first arrived. He is still a great player but he does need to get his head straight and start playing more like last season when he was fantastic.

Lampard, along with the rest of midfield, was good in the first half and poor in the second.
