  5. On what would have been the great man’s 70th birthday. Legend.
  6. Today

  7. They have been unlucky though. Hope they give him time. Today's scoreline was never a 0-5 game. The red card changed things. First half was an even game and Vertbuggen made some excellent saves. They gave him MOTM which says everything. They just have not been putting away their chances. Against Arsenal they lost 3-0 which was not a surprise. Man City, they played their hearts out and only lost 1-0 and Simms and Awonyi missed open goals. They were close to coming away with a fantastic result at City's own ground. The game they will be kicking themselves about is Hull when they conceded that late goal and again missed several chances. 0 points never looks good, but they have been playing well and hopefully as weeks go on, they will get some results. You can look at it this way and also be like 3/4 games have been against European quality teams.
  8. Now this feel like every season now. These players suck, these players are the problem. We sold most of them, get a lot of new players. We still look like top 4/5 team

  10. In a back 3 if he tracks runners we will not have a midfield .. it’s a zonal system.. if you are referring to the goal against Arsenal it was just a brilliant move - 90 out of 100 times that doesn’t come off.. also our CBs need to move as one .. how did he find a gap between our back 3 .. James is the only one in the current midfield who can hold a ball under pressure - Barco and Lavia will lose it.. the current problem is that Lavia has no legs to press, he is had a decent games- many a time he saved out bacon against hull city .. you take hiM out and Leeds is what you will get.
  11. This is still bent and bullsh*t..huge conflict of interest. Have an independent auditor and then we know. We were dogsh*t but in the 94th minute when we had a shout for handball - it was a foul anywhere else on the pitch.. and should have been a penalty.. against aresenal there was a red card for Gabriel.. he was out of control and they were one goal down.. look at arteta he knows these crooks and has started his antics already like the penalty shout and what do we do .. nothing. We should have come out after the match just like Liverpool and Arsenal had a statement. Against hill city they were wasting time from minute one and we had a novice ref ( I don’t remember seeing him last season) who didn’t want to give any big calls.. he allowed them To get away .. Alonso needs to call out these thugs .. if look at any of these guys Clattenburg Cooke and dean all have literally confirmed refs are anything but unbiased.. arsenal get away with murder season after season and they set a market ok refs early..
  12. This is true for almost all goal for almost all team
  13. I have a theory about this, actually. I think they stopped playing him because they realised he is a terrible, terrible footballer.

  15. Clearlake have always held the majority vote/control at 22 Holdco level I believe, but both "parties" have equal voting rights at Chelsea level. Practically speaking I take it that Clearlake have always had veto/control over any decisions regarding investment/finance/borrowing and asset sales. I have said for a while now that Clearlake likely ran the numbers and in the current investment climate have decided a stadium relocation + new build isn't viable. Total costs would be close to £4bn which would only be viable if there was another ten years of this PL unsustainable growth, as the revenue increase is mediocre relative to the cost. Tottenham and Arsenal have profitable stadiums because they redeveloped pre-inflation and lower interest rates, and even then Tottenham nearly got caught out themselves by cost increases. The risk of spending unfathomable amounts of money only never to see a meaningful return and the club saddled with debt is far too risky. A re-development or new rebuild is probably the safest option, a middle ground between increasing profitability without risking the physical future of the club. Maybe they could incorporate the housing into the stadium design so the veterans can watch all the games for free from their living room. Although that would have been considered 'cruel and unusual punishment' under Maresca/Rosenior

  18. "Remember how we bought this thing for a dollar each? What if I sell my share to you for two dollars? That way, I make my two dollars, and you can tell the world you own a three-dollar thing so the banks give you more of other people's imaginary money." - Todd Boehly to Behdad Eghbali, probably. It's in BlueCo's mutual interest for Clearlake to pay as much as they can afford, to artificially inflate the value of the club. Anything below the 4.3bn would effectively represent a loss halfway through their intended investment cycle.
  19. There's a shock. That interpretation obviously only came in at 7pm tonight and was not in force before that, and certainly not when we played Brentford last season or when we played Arsenal in the 2017 FA cup final.
  20. Remember how reacted when we had Sanchez sent off after 5 minutes game last season? He brought on Jorgensen, but took off both Neto and Estevao and brought on Tosin. Appalling tactical subs that left Palmer isolated and gave us zero pace and barely a chance of an outball.
  21. Agreed. Although having said that, I think there are three players that will be absolutely crucial to him. Halaand, Anderson and Guehi. Lose any of them for a long period of time, and, despite the insane quality and depth in the squad, they will be very difficult to replace.
  22. I wouldnt go that far. 😅 Martinez isnt Massimo Taibi!! Cant bin a world cup winning keeper after 3 games. Honestly reckon the players just need a little more time. it looks calamitous; sometimes is, for once I say bring on the international break. Everyone needs more time together on the training pitch and under Alonso. He's got the front three going as we know they could. He does need to get his ideas through to the defence and settle on preferred players. Worthless data stat: Chelsea careers to date: Gusto 10 assists, 5800 ish minutes Neto 13 assists, 4800 ish minutes (Neto has scored more)
  23. Get used to it. He will regularly lose out in those 50-50s and shoulder to shoulder battles because he is 5'6" and probably 10 1/2 stone soaking wet. And a good percentage of that 10 1/2 stone is his hair. Safe to say he isn't the sort of physical specimen Arteta would put in his midfield. BUT, he looks like something we need. Good touch, good passing, gets stuck in despite regularly getting beat up, doesn't mind a bit of sh*t-housing and wants the ball all the time. OK, he isn't Kante, but then who the f**k is? But maybe he could be our own Argentinian Billy Bremner.
  24. Like the chancer that he is. 😁
  25. Pretty sure Lacroix was carrying an injury from the Leeds game. From chasing Calvert Lewin for his goal
  26. Brilliant performance. More like it, killer instinct after going 1-0 up.
  27. HERE WE GO, THEY THINK AN APOLOGY IS OK In a statement, Pro Ref said: "It was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective. "However, on this occasion, the VAR did not recognise the likely impact of his position and should have recommended an on-field review. "Contact has been made with Manchester United this evening to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement. A review of the incident will take place."
  28. Thing is though Alonso isn’t helping him. Paired him with Watson midweek and had him at 6 with Watson at 8. Looked better when James came on and he move further forward. You would think he would make a mental note of this, made the same mistake again v Hull. James was playing as the 8 while he was left playing the 6 role. Wouldn’t be too worried about the physical part, he will need a while to get used to the physical side of the PL.
  29. I wouldn't be too confident until the money is in the bank
  30. Tick for Maresca for the HT Ndiaye sub. An outball for them, getting them forward, a threat MU had to cover.
  31. Scottish League Cup Final 1964. Two Rangers greats. Would be contenders for being in the all-time greatest ever Rangers eleven..
