Rogers did get up and carry on playing. But what is the point of VAR if it doesn't look at these things in the build up to a goal. As soon as Arsenal got the ball following that foul, they went upfield and scored. Ref missed a ton of this stuff except when it was anything that our players did. Another example was the deliberate trip from Rice on Rogers that lost him the chance to give Palmer an option in the middle on a promising attack. Not only was Rogers furious earning him a yellow, but you could see Cole wondered where his team mate disappeared to and then had to try a unlikely attempt from the angle. The inconsistent reffing was dreadful throughout the game.

Will be absolutely stupid to start any of our front 3, Lavia and James this game.

Agreed. I thought Neto did ok as wing back yesterday, Hato is not as comfortable in that role. Pep Chavarria was signed for this role and just needs to get up to speed. Palestra will likely be first choice on the right once available.

We'll never know if a back 3 system is going to work until Palestra returns, Chavarria settles and we get a proper midfield. It's a mess right now off the ball because we're a mess in midfield and defence. We had Hato and Neto as our wing backs yesterday, with James and Lavia in midfield. For however long this continues, we will never see the best of this system.

It always amazes me how some of you can make such sweeping statements about others when you know f**k all about them. Please read properly. Both the Standard and Guardian rated his performance. You are talking nonsense. You mentioned Palmer having two shots. Anyone who saw that game knew he was ineffective. Oh so because he is an African, it means that his opinion means nothing? He clearly is a Chelsea fan. You do realise Chelsea has a huge fanbase in Africa and they watch the exact same game. Palmer, I am not sh*tting on. I am proving a point to show how you are selective. Palmer is a world class player but in big away games he does not turn up and is average and should be doing better. I am not talking about games at home. Away from home in league, he has never shown in any big league game. I did not say Neto was great, but he definitely was not sh*t as you say. And he was up and down against the best Arsenal defence. I promise you, most Chelsea fans and Arsenal fans alone realise he put effort in and had a decent game. You are just nitpicking. Majority of ratings would defo tell you neto was decent. But your judging of players is by heatmaps. We get you hate him and that is the real reason you are bashing him rather than actually thinking he was sh*t. I am sure you rated Garnacho for less last season.
