We did not challenge for a league title under him. A 50m player, let alone a striker, should be able to lead his team to a title. Aguero won it for City, RVP won it for United, In 2010 Drogba for us.
 
Yes, he did score in the Europa league final, but that is not our level. Chelsea is an elite club.
 
Torres has been an abject failure. One of the worst players to wear this shirt. Take his price out of the equation, he still failed to do his one job on the pitch. The likes of Mata, Willian, Hazard, Oscar were all brought in to help. They excelled but he didn't.
 
He summed up how he felt about this club by refusing to score against liverpool and passing the ball to Willian.
 
Good riddance. The club can finally go upwards now. 

No, he didn't win us the CL. If anything, it was RDM because he was the one who brought him on. We can also say, if Torres was not brought on maybe we would have still scored. Trying to give Torres cheap credit is not right. He cost us Drogba who could have given us at least two more years and probably a few more league titles, he cost us a bright young talent in Sturridge, he also played his part in a club legend like Di Matteo getting fired, and lastly, he got that big fat waiter to work for this club. If Torres gave anything to this club, it was mostly negative.
 
 
But if it's a transfer to another club with a transfer fee being paid, then I don't think the club has to pay anything.

Haha, more excitement about a possible torres exit. I'm resigned to the fact that this will not happen. Torres us ours for another 2 years when he will prob have to retire.

Of course he didn't have a terrible season, but if he wants to be thought of as one in the same league as Bale, Ronaldo etc he needs to do it every week.
He's only 1 and a half years younger than Bale, so age isn't be a factor, but mentality might be.
I really hope he improves his mental and physical game with more consistency.

Sadly, there's more chance of Zola signing for us again than Torres scoring a sh*t load of goals.

If he comes back, how would that in any way change the fact that he played a big part in winning the Champions League for Chelsea?
 
If Scholes could come out of retirement and help United to another league title, I'm sure Drogba is capable of providing something as well.

I will say it again, a 36 year old Drogba is more reliable than Torres of the past 3 years. Torres has given nothing to this club, absolutely nothing. Drogba is not going to be a starter and may not even be second choice but he deserves a place on the squad over Torres. He will also bring confidence and leadership in the dressing room especially during situations filled with pressure and tension.

I don't like him, I don't particularly want him but if we do sign him then I will back him and hope he does brilliantly for us.

I put the attractive football in ' ' because I agree. Roman wants us to play like Barcelona (apparently). Mourinho is not interested in that. Counter attacking football (when it's done correct) is a joy to behold. I don't feel we've done it right this season. Our decision making in the final third is poor overall.
 
We need a Plan B to help us knock the walls down. Relying on a piece of brilliance from Hazard isn't the way to go.
