Chelsea - Spurs strange quirk.
Liverpool always have had double standards. I'm bitter though. Worst kicking I ever had was in that hole.

Yeah, I've been, I went when it first opened. I agree with your discription. I've also been to the Hartenstein in Oosterbeek, the 82d Airborne Museum at Ft. Bragg. They are all really worth visiting.

Chelsea Women - Everything Else!
People seem to forget that Women's football was massive buring the First World War. But once the surviving men returned from the war. Husbands backed by the Government and FA wanted the women back in the kitchen so Kicked them all out of the Factories whom most played for. They eventually actually banned Women's football in 1921. The organised game didn't start again until 1969. No wonder it lags behind the Men's game. Some might not like Women commentating on games but you cannot deny that they actually know what the're talking about. I'd take any of them over Glenn Hoddle and his monotone BS anyday.

That lads Di Matteo shirt. Superb. Loved our Italians, especially Robbie and I'm so glad he won the CL with / for us.

Last Movie You Watched
Last night I watched some dire film call The Bad Nun. There's time I'll never get back. I like a nunsploitation film but God this was rubbish. The best thing about it was the Box it came in, which incidently bares no relation to the film. So I'll mention a good film. My go to film is A Bridge Too Far, all about Arnhem. I first watched it on Airborne Forces Day at Depot Para and I've loved it ever since. I had the luck to meet many Arnhem veterans over the years including some of the 'Personalities" who didn't disappoint. Every man an Emperor. What Manner Of Men Are These That Wear The Maroon Beret? They are firstly all volunteers and are toughened by physical training. As a result they have infectious optimism and that offensive eagerness which comes from well-being. They have 'jumped' from the air and by doing so have conquered fear. Their duty lies in the van of the battle. They are proud of this honour. They have the highest standards in all things whether it be skill in battle or smartness in the execution of all peace time duties. They are in fact - men apart - every man an emperor. Of all the factors, which make for success in battle, the spirit of the warrior is the most decisive. That spirit will be found in full measure in the men who wear the maroon beret” ― Bernard Montgomery

Should we do a mini raid on Leicester City in the summer?
Quality Thread, but this is the post! Class.

Willian wants to come back...
What he said. I don't like players coming back unless they've been loaned. David Luiz especially.

ROMAN TO SELL....(maybe one day)
Whilst we're winning he's keeping. (Loving the pessimism of the OP last Feb Lol.)

Random Rumours
Declan Rice, Declan Rice, Declan Rice pah! Everyone rates him. He can play but I don't like him as a man. I don't like turn coats. He chose to play for the Republic of Ireland first then England start sniffing and then it's all Three Lions. This forum is full of people who if they could play could be picked through birth or heritage to play for more than one country. Surely you wouldn't pick a country only because you don't think you're good enough for another. Pick from the heart and stick to it. Rant over, Erin Go Bragh.

Who is our biggest rival?
I put Spuds just because, well the're Spuds. Historically in every way they cannot match us and the odd game they've beaten us has been us blowing it. They cannot be classed as rivals as the don't threaten us and we outshine them. I don't think any of the teams in the poll are rivals to us. Some have had great seasons and blown everyone away but it's been fleeting. I get more enjoyment beating the Gooners and if they ever get their act together well...

Callum Hudson-Odoi
I think he could be world class, but at the moment he isn't. I think if anyone comes in for him with serious intent, then he's gone.

Chelsea v Man City (CL Final) 29/05/21 KO 20:00 BST
I'll never tire of talking about that win. It's funny but I always wonder who the hero will be in the big games. I loved the first one and it was down to Petr and Drogs, this was a team win, a team with Kante in it!

So who do you think is realistic
A fit Callum Wilson from Newcastle, they'd sell they always do. He did well with the rubbish service he got from his teammates. He'd be great with first class passes into the box.

So who do you think is realistic
Sorry, I had to smirk at that. True but harsh.

This is for the normal chelsea lot on here a question > Chelseas hooligans ?
I can't really comment, fans attacking easy targets, it happened across the country. In my post you replied to, I was talking more about organised crews having rules. Herberts fighting old men, kids, scarfers and each other was not in my matchday experience. I never belted anyone not up for it , or unfortunately vice-versa.

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
Mourinho should have been like that too. If the board won't back your plans, the manager is the one who's reputation is damaged.

Next new Striker
If someone can work on his goal awareness he'll be immense.

You cannot judge us then by the standards of today. There were rules, Scarfers, families, kids, old guys, anyone not up for it were left alone. Nothing brave about beating some poor innocent up just for having the audacity to support their home team. As a veteran It makes me laugh because the cry was always "Conscript them, that'll sort them out." Lol. I'm too old for that malarky now so just as well it's changed times.

The clothing we wore to the football back then.
Since this thread has recently been resurrected I'll post this. It's me back in the day. Tachini Polo, Pringle Jumper and Kickers, Jeans probably Lois. After a few months in Aldershot all I wore were a crop, maroon T-shirts, Levi Jeans, Dessie boots and MA1 lol.
