Raul Meireles to Fenerbahce
Breaking News on SSN just announced he's joined Fenerbahce. Right. Mikel, Lampard, Romeu, Ramires, Oscar (?) for the midfield two?

Ramires in a 4231
Ramires is one of my favourite players in the squad at the moment, and agree he should be first on the team sheet. While I think he should be more in midfield, he's not the player to play alongside a DM, like g3.7 said, his passing isn't quite up to scratch. What he does offer us is an out ball mind, no matter what position, if we need someone to relieve pressure, give it to Ramires and he does a mighty fine Bale (knock and run) impression.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Quite a surprising amount of people still believe Hulk is coming, I thought with the signing of Moses the deal was dead. We should focus on Schurrle, if you ask me, deadline day flourish.

MOTM vs Newcastle
Mikel was excellent all game, Hazard faded.

FIFA 13 and PES 2013
I love Ultimate Team, me and my brother are on it all the time, we tend to build a team and sell it every time, but in recent memory we created an English silver team which is by far the best team we've ever had, Bertrand, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tom Cleverely, it was absolute class. My brother did get lucky with a few cards for a while though, he traded in one of our old games for a load of Microsoft points and bought pack after pack and they contained players like an In Form Ramires, 88 rated Aguero, Ibrahimovic and, the best, a Team of the Year Yaya Toure which sold for a sneaky 300,000. Love UT.

So, where do all the cool kids get downloads now?
I don't use so many of those sites too much, not comparable to buying the DVDs.

The Oscar thread
Good signing! Hope he can be molded to play alongside Mikel in a 4-2-3-1 to be Lamps' long term replacement.

Your Favourite Game Series
Batman: Arkham Asylum/City Bioshock Assassin's Creed These series are the only ones I've properly followed, the Batman series more than the other two, but all three are fantastic
-
The Dark Knight Rises
I think that was intentional - Bane said he was born in darkness so it wouldn't make a difference to him whether it's day or night, where as Batman clearly prefers night so Bane was taking him out of his comfort zone by having it in the day. Saw it this morning, while unfortunately it's not as good The Dark Knight, it's still absolutely epic and rounds off a truly spectacular trilogy. Loved it.

Feel like terrifying yourself?
The first half of Amnesia is genuinely scary, but once you catch sight of the monster properly it loses its effect, it starts appearing too often and you expect it.

How many strikers?
Considering for the first game, maybe even first 2 games, Lukaku and Bamford will be the only two recognised strikers, we'll see a fair amount of both.

The Dark Knight Rises
Of all the superhero films that have come out in the last few years, this is the one I've been longing to see. Chris Nolan is an absolutely fantastic director, can't wait!

2012/2013 Pre-season
Even with Studge not going on Tour and Nando not getting there until later, I definitely think we'll sign a striker this summer - going on tour with only two recognised strikers, both of them less than 20 years old is something to look at. Excited for this tour, it has been SO LONG since we've seen any football...!

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
Love the new track. Can't wait for the album.

Eden Hazard Chant
I don't particularly mind Muse myself, I'm very indifferent, but I do know that Muse's new song is among the worst I've ever heard.

Modric Act II
He's gone way up in my estimations, toward the end of the season, much like everyone else in the squad he was exceptional, one of our standout players against Bayern I thought. But my thinking was that for a 4-2-3-1 to work you need a defensive minded player (the Makelele role) and a box to box player to truly work so the defensive player can sit back while the other joins the attack, and Mikel is the best option there. Romeu has a future there too, but Mikel is more experienced, and Romeu had a poor end of season.

Modric Act II
I will always rate Modric, he's a phenomenal player, and I would love him to play for us, but a) I can't see it happening and b) I can't see how he would fit with our system. In a 4-2-3-1, we would have to sacrifice Ramires/Lamps (Mikel should be one of the first names on the team sheet, need a defensive minded player and a box-to-box player in the 2 in that midfield. However if we were to adopt a 4-3-2-1 formation, Mata/Hazard occupying that 2, he could fit in alongside Mikel and Ramires naturally. My only issue is that would make Marin a perennial substitute, and would make our potential signing of Hulk pointless.

The Official Euro 2012 Thread
- Random Rumours
First one I don't think he was to blame, second one he definitely was, he's the one who gave the ball away, two passes later it was in the back of our net. Other than that he did put in a superb shift in the second half. I won't be sad to see him go, but I feel like he is a good squad player, but shouldn't be in contention for a starting place.- The Official Euro 2012 Thread
I find it amazing that people are still defending Gerrard. I thought it might have been my anti-Gerrard way of life that saw it, but he really was dire last night and I think he has been through the whole tournament:, three assists (one against an average Sweden side, one against an average French side and a twice deflected one against a below average Ukraine side) has masked that in the media, with all of them claiming that without Gerrard they wouldn't even be in the QF, which is arguably true, but the fact he can pull off one cross over 90 minutes and be hailed as a hero is ludicrous. Also, does anyone else think he and Rooney bottled it going as early in the shoot out as they did? Surely you want a good penalty taker to go first, but not your captain, you want your captain when the pressure is heaviest, rather than first when they have 4 penalties to make a comeback?- Best Ever Player?
Went for Zola, the only player I genuinely feel privileged to have watched in the flesh. Lamps a close 2nd though.- Does it hurt as much now?
Reading the list of games there all of them got me pretty shaken until the Man U game in 2011. I genuinely just couldn't remember it, I had to google it to remember, it was weird. I apparently had erased that game from memory. That was such a poor CL run in general, really. I'll never forget instances like the ghost goal, 2008 and Ovrebo, but the pain definitely has eased. - Random Rumours
