  1. Yeah, I'd have Robben and Duff in for Kalou and Malouda, and an on-form Drogba down the middle. And I don't know whether I'd have Maka in for Mikel. As much as I love him, we do play far more attacking football with Mikel at the helm.
  2. Does anyone have a picture of his shrugging celebration afterwards? I really want to use it as my MSN display picture. :P Cracking goal though.
  3. He's a Dipper friend of mine who saw me on the Shed End forums and thought it would be an 'ingenious' idea to create an account and tragically try to flame us... I trusted you all to dispatch him with minimal effort. Sorry though. to quote the best thing ever: "Jamie Carragher is a mediocre player, and an odious human being."

Well Shearer says he's "everything you'd want in a centre forward". He must be good!
  5. Pretty scrappy game. We dominated pretty heavily and were rewarded with the goal. Di Santo was pretty anonymous, sadly. But he came on at the wrong time. :P The Dippers got lucky again, I see...
  6. Mikel for me too. He put in a blinder. Some awesome passes. If we had a half-decent striker we might have had a more correct scoreline considering we spent 85% of the game in their half...
  7. So Drogba gets charged for saying he wished he'd punched a man who had tried to punch him first... ...whereas Jamie "scumbag" Carragher says that he was on the verge of having his thug mates beat the living snot out of an opposing player, if it had not been for a witness, gets away with it. ¬____¬ Typical BS. May I include two choice quotes from the 'Pie and Bovril' forums: And possibly the truest sentence ever:
  8. The BBC live update thing isn't working, so I've been posting updates in the 606 forum. :o Pretty frustrating game so far ¬__¬
  9. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports Am watching it on 'Shanghai GSports' at the moment. Reasonable quality, but Chinese commentary. :o It took my a while to get a working link. Nothing great has happened in the game so far.
  10. Did you never see Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen? :D (Kidding)
  11. And then Hmm... looks like he caught "talkoutofyourarseitis" from old red nose.
  12. At the moment, no way. We seem to have a model of a manager. He has us playing the most attractive and most effective football of the entire Abramovich era, and not only that, but he is also humble in victory. When things don't go his way (granted, his worst result so far has been a draw...) he is gracious, and refuses to make excuses, but echoes the constant need for improvement. However, he hasn't won anything yet... hopefully come May we'll have forgotten all about Mourinho and will be praising the new Blues hero. However much they claimed to hate him when he was with us, I doubt either Man Ure or the Dippers would hesitate to snap him up if ever he became available. I'd hate to see him at either... no doubt his in-your-face ways and frequent sass mouth would get on my nerves... although I doubt anyone could ever talk as much **** as the Scottish drunk. I can see him going to City though. But for now, all hail Lord Luis!
  13. And then Spuds bottom. Pure bliss.
  14. Yup, a quiet 5-0 away win. I keep waiting for the day we slip up and Scolari becomes less of a gent though ;) I hope it doesn't happen.
  15. How good would it be if they did a Wigan? First half of the season they're our main title rivals ;) But then drop a bit :( But don't worry, they have Windass on the sidelines, ready to give the Dippers a good kicking.
  16. You speak the truth. ...dipper c**t. I hope we pummel them.
  17. I heard Cech got a thigh strain during the week as well :S And I think Cudicini is out... so: 3rd choice keeper 4th and 5th choice centre backs 2nd choice left back 3rd choice striker Two of top three-choice central mid are out :/ WOOT
  18. Well whaddya know? Maybe Ivanovic and Mancienne can form the ultimate central defensive partnership :D
  19. Non-Chelsea? :D there go my hopes of raving about Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen...
  20. If Ferdinand hadn't been a half-asleep donkey, that 'mistake' might never have come to light anyway. Wes Brown was our best player in the first half, which goes to show how bad we were. Lampard and Gerrard were both pretty dismal, but Gerrard more so. The reluctance to drop either of them meant that Barry was pushed back into an ineffective position, whereas if Gerrard hadn't been there, both Lampard and Barry would have thrived. I was sad Heskey didn't score :D
  21. Yeah, it's true. It just gave off this impression of "We really used to hate you but now you haven't won anything for two years we don't care any more".
  22. Well between Belletti and Malouda... August '07 wasn't a very exciting time

Firefox is usually perfect, but in the last week or so it keeps randomly disconnecting for twenty seconds or so at a time. I always assumed that was the internet being sh*t rather than the browser though...
