lol, if Jose Mourinho had said the same about Man Utd getting a card rescinded, he would have brought the game into disrepute...

Chelsea Vs Bordeaux Game Thread
With Carrick, Vidic and Ronaldo out and us on good form, I don't think we could have played them at a better time! Although it will only be the same as them vs us last season if Fergie gets sacked during the week beforehand, we score a goal out of time and a wrongly-awarded penalty, on top of Owen Hargreaves being inexplicably sent off.

Cluj
Well done Cluj! I was very pleased to see this result, especially as I was particularly concerned about Roma. Come on the Blues!

Chelsea Vs Bordeaux Game Thread
Good Lord, Malouda AND Anelka scored! What's happening to the world? On a serious note, excellent game today. I was very happy with Malouda's second half performance, as well as that of the fast-maturing Mikel, as well as the ever-brilliant Joe Cole and Lampard. Bosingwa looks like he's settling in well. Little bit disappointed with Deco though. And cracking shot from Belletti! I was sorry it didn't go in. And Roma lost at home to Cluj, which could prove vital to us.

Scolari Wants Essien Replacement
Nah... that way we'd have symetry with Malouda

Motm Vs Bordeaux
I thought Mikel was excellent today. A very mature performance from a fast-improving player. He'll fill Makelele's boots one day! Although he had a typical Malouda performance in the first half, in the second half I thought Malouda was excellent! I nearly gave him a pity vote... :)

Jimmy Has Left The Building!
lol, I still have a Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink poster on my wall from a pre-season game against Kingstonian in 2000. :)

No way! I just heard about this on Teletext and I'm absolutely astounded. The FA ruled in favour of Chelsea!?!

Jimmy Has Left The Building!
Love the guy. If we bring him back, he might even be better than Malouda. I loved that Crossbar Challenge when he introduced himself as 'JFH'...

Scolari Wants Essien Replacement
Well we do need a winger and Gronkjaer is only 31...

Well Done To Chelsea Today
Thanks. I'd have few complaints if you were second.

Our Strike Force?
I agree, he has to do more than score once to prove himself. Although he's got 2 in 4 games now, as well as scoring a stack in pre-season.

Abu Dhabi United V Chelsea
I didn't hear anyone say that about Paul Scholes when he was sent off against Zenit... and for Scholes, it would actually be true. Or for Vidic with his disgraceful tackle yesterday. And I thought it was a pretty undisputable penalty for Anelka. He was pretty much through on goal, and Micah Richards just shoved him over. The Terry incident: had he legitimately gone down, then fair enough, it's a poor challenge and a yellow card. But Terry wasn't the last man, and the tackle wasn't exactly brutal, topped off with the fact that it was a disgraceful dive meant that once again, Chelsea got the dog-end of the refereeing decisions this weekend. Carvalho was good, but I'm not sure I agree that he was always in the right place at the right time. Robinho and Jo linked together well in the box once, and left Terry and Percy for dead. If it wasn't for a last-ditch tackle, they'd probably have scored.

Although all Man Utd have to do is win their game in hand and they're back in the top 4 ¬___¬

Essien Injury ?
Dear Doc I'm a balding, overweight prat and I can't do my job right. All the sodding fans blame me for everything. Yours Peter Kenyon

Did he really say that? Kudos to him.

Motm Vs Man City
I agree. Other than marvelling at the fact that Anelka scored, I spent most of the match screaming at Malouda for squandering ball after ball. I thought Ashley Cole was pretty good, he got forward, and defended well as well. Cech had a pretty good game too, seeing as he didn't really have a chance with the deflected free kick.

Abu Dhabi United V Chelsea
Most importantly... What a table! The mighty Blues top! Hull City in the Champions League places. Fulham 6th (I have a sinful soft spot for them for a Chelsea fan...) Man Utd 13th following a crushing defeat against their rivals. And possibly sweetest of all... Spuds bottom
