If it's Petrov you're talking about, I say yes. Quick(ish), technical and intelligent... good player.
  2. Why would you need to make excuses? It was a winning goal that got us 3 precious points in a difficult period of the season. Accept and enjoy it!
  3. Can van der Vaart hack it (mentally) in a world class squad where he isn't automatic first choice?
  4. He was a full 2 yards offside at least when the shot came off Pizarro. Not obvious enough for you? read my post again, I said when MIKEL'S initialy shot came off. HTe defection of Pizarro would surely then not matter as Pizarro didn't intend that pass. therefore, the offside ruling comes from when the initial strike was taken....which was Mikel's.....where I feel Kalou was still slightly offside, but not as blatant. Scott But as long as it comes off your player when another of your boys is in an offside position it will be given as offside, regardless of intent... Are you trying to change the rules? Just train and screen the referees better...
  5. Remember that it's not Joe's own fault though.

When Bluebeard says he'd rather have a whiny french git, you know the other guy's bad!
  8. VERY surprised you don't like 7,8 & 9 !!! Not a Scouser are you ?????? Re: no.8, I don't even want Pool to make it anywhere near the final.
  9. If it's not the location is it the performance then that is the problem?
  10. 1. That Roman would give me 0.1% of his wealth (geezer's too greedy Roman!) 2. For various reasons I also wish none of coombsie's wishes come true.
  11. You're only saying that because you're Indian.
  12. Except that for a newly promoted side the realistic objective is only to avoid relegation, and if he fails marginally it actually isn't a horrible failure on his part. He learnt from his time at United that the foundation of a side should always have a good goalie and two good centrebacks, but his mistake is taking it too far and spending whatever he got on an admittedly good goalie who unfortunately isn't working out as well as he'd have liked. IMO he'd have been better off signing a couple of outfield players with top level experience which is what you will always need. I don't think his players always look outplayed but often they find it hard to bring that something extra at the required level which an experienced player would be able to bring. Relegation for Sunderland (unlike for Derby) is still far from a certainty and I'd say Bolton, Wigan and Boro all stand as great if not higher chance of going down. Together with Fulham of course.
  13. I believe as deciding factors go the 'beautiful football' is a close second to the climate/language/culture.
  14. That sh*t c**t made a goal. I suppose his offer of half his week's wages can pay for Villa's entire squad for 6 years so they took it...
  15. This is bullsh*t. Did Villa take a bribe? Without that yard of pace there's no way that over-the-hill overpaid c**t can score...
  16. And might I say Ballack's looked f**king great so far. Continuing where he left off in the Pool Carling Cup game...
  17. I thought there were a couple of occasions where Lampard opted to look for his 100th goal instead of taking the better option of laying a pass off.
  18. Maybe your mums said 'Black Pig'. :)

An unfair comparison perhaps, but... Ballack I thought looked up to speed when he came on in the Carling Cup game and granted he played less than half a game he didn't look like he'd been out for 6 months. Whenever Sidwell comes on he always looks like he just returned from being out for 6 months.
  20. He's saying it's a red cross on a white background and NOT a swastika. Amusing incident, this. If UEFA are good for anything at all they should make this guy look like a fool.
  21. Happier? Some of us would be. We wish he never showed up. Never got the club out of debt. Never put his money where his mouth is. Never used his resources to power Chelsea FC into becoming a household name. We wish we could watch games against Yeovil and Carlisle all the time. We also wish the computer was never invented, that no one ever discovered potatoes weren't poisonous, and that we could still barter wheat for milk and eggs. It was a simpler time. Who Henry? I find that very hard to envisage. I am non-English remember. Nobody but the English know what 'irony' is.
