Florent Malouda
No Ashley? Has a better shout than Ivan and Lampard imo. Think with Ivan that expectations were so low that when he proved he's a very capable player people went overboard. No doubt he's been immense but Ashley and Drogba are the outstanding players of our season. Shame about Aneka because up until Christmas he as superb.

Florent Malouda
What really annoys me is when the pundits say he's been terrific for the last 3 or 4 weeks, when in fact he has been superb for the last 14 months or so. Something really clicked for him when Hiddink arrived and he's kept on going since then whether it's been left wing, left midfield or in the hole like he did against Arsenal at home. I honestly think we'd be the best team in the world if we had a player like him on the right.

Should we have taken a punt on Eidur?
Just shows you how bad the squad is doesn't it? We're debating whether or not we should have taken a player Barcelona discarded because he was useless to them, one of the teams we're supposed to compete with for the European Cup. I wouldn't even mind our club just not being good enough because we have no right to win things, what confuse me however is the demand placed on a squad that is clearly not strong enough. Ancelotti is being asked to make an omelette with eggs that expired three years ago!

Carlo's Replacement
But what could he do? Shouting at the players is unlikely to help, what Ancelotit needed was decent subs to make a change and considering what was on the bench I honestly don't blame him for changing nothing. Ancelotti may some things he needs to address in his management style but the problems run far deeper than that.

Milan lab
It's just our best players are very unlucky with injury and/or made of galss, nothing to do with Ancelotti/Milan lab type methods. Wouldn't be such a problem if we could replace quality with quality mind, but we have awful back up players which places greater stress on the first team members and why they end up with serious injuries.

Carlo's Replacement
Let’s all calm down for a second and try to remember why Mourinho left Chelsea and why getting rid of Ancelotti doesn't solve anything. I could write a long post but the bottom line is the squad has declined to such a level that winning the Legaue/CL is beyond us. We do not have enough quality throughout the squad and our failure, for whatever reason, in bringing on youth players has cost us. We're now in the silly position of having to go out and spend crazy money just to get us back on a level playing field with Europes elite clubs. We are so far behind the likes of Barcelona it's untrue yet we're supposed to compete with them for the CL. Utd have so many better squad players yet were supposed to finish above them over 38 games. The demands that were placed on Mourinho and now Ancelotti are silly because it's almost impossible to achieve any real success with players like Joe Cole, Kalou, Deco etc who are just not up to it and wouldn't make it at the Villa's of this world let alone a club that wants to win major honours. Look at Matic for example. What is he here for if he's not going to get games? Why bring on Sturridge for the last 5 minutes, what is he supposed to achieve? The failure of bringing on youth players and also allowing the squad to get worse every season is the real problem, we're over-acheiving. We only have 13-14 top class players and all the rest are a waste of time like this clown Zhirkov who we spent god knows how much on.

Joe Cole
:D Joe Cole does those fancy stepover things though, you know those big windmill ones that look great and all. When has Ballack ever done a stepover? That's right, never. Get him out. We need more fun-time guys like our Joey and we'll always have youtube compilations about how skillful we are. Who cares he gets injured a lot and is consistently inconsistent in everything he does? I don't. How can we let go of an international player...what? Capello doesn't rate him? Well he obviously doesn't know anything about our Joey!

Whats happened to JT?
One of those neanderthals that were booing on Saturday probably. Depressing that we have people like that supporting our club.
-
The formation isn't right, and we're losing because of it.
It's nothing to do with the formation, in fact the formation usually means f*** all in the grand scheme of things. We've got key injuries and therefore an even weaker bench than usual. Cech's injury was the last straw, this is what happens when some of your best players are missing. Essien and Bosingwa return soon so at least we'll have some options and can finally rest Ivanovic who must be knackered.
-
Whats happened to JT?
You sound like one of those Chelsea fans that will excuse anything because Terry happens to kick a football for the team we support but life isn't that simple.
-
Whats happened to JT?
We can blame the press all we like but they’re in the business of selling and they would print stories of their own parents to do so. Why even give them the ammo? Terry is seriously a source of embarrassment for the club, we’re top of the league and generally having a very good season but you wouldn’t know it. Drogba is having an outstanding season but nobody cares because all the column inches/TV coverage allocated for Chelsea is being taken up by this clowns actions. When Craig Bellamy is saying bad things about you, well, you’ve completely lost it haven’t you? Terry has apparently responded and said "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones", sorry but I can't help but laugh at this moron. What is the need for replying and giving more press coverage on the issue?
-
Whats happened to JT?
Wonder what the likes of Lampard think of the whole situation, he seems like a very level-headed guy and he must have felt a lot of sympathy for Bridge regarding the booing.
-
Whats happened to JT?
Bit suprised to see some of you criticising Wayne Bridge and was quite shocked he was booed on Saturday. Excuse me, but what has he done wrong? Not shake the hand of a 'mate' that was shagging the mother of his children? That's enough to boo one of our ex-players who gave us 100% and scored one of the greatest goals in our clubs history? What I've learnt from this whole saga is that Terry is an even bigger knuckle-dragging idiot than I initially thought and that our supporters are a very fickle bunch. John Terry is a great defender and arguably the best that has ever played for us but I seriously will not miss the man one bit when he retires. The amount of nonsense that comes along with him we could do without.

Wolves vs Chelsea (Prem) 20/02/10 1500 KO
Great goal. :D

Yuri Zhirkov
Exactly what I mean mate, he seems like he's restricted at LB almost as if he's worried about leaving gaps in defence. Noticed that against Preston for example, he had plenty of chances to bomb on but was quite cautious. Nothing wrong with that and nothing to be ashmed about because Ashley is the best in the world at what he does but if ZHirkov gets comfortable in that role he would be a huge asset, I still think of him as a left midfielder however.
-
Yuri Zhirkov
Not particulalry impressed with him if I'm totally honest. He has had injury problems and adjusting to a new league to be fair to him so of course he has a lot more to offer. He looks more comfortable further forward because when playing left back he seems a little subdued and doesn't offer anywhere near the attacking ability of Ashley Cole. Good player and a fantastic squad player considering his ability but he hasn't really done much so far in a Chelsea shirt. Good luck to him and hopefully his form picks up during the last few months of the season.
-
So who do we sign in January?
We won't go for him because he's clearly not a good enough player for us. I'm not Joe Cole's biggest fan but I would play him ahead of Robinho. Robinho is without doubt currently the most overrated player in the world. I have never got the hype with this guy and never will, so glad that we "missed" out on him two years ago.

CL Final 2010
I'd play a 4-4-2 with... Cech Bosingwa Carvalho Terry Ashley Cole Mikel Essien Malouda Lampard Drogba Anelka Our best team imo.
-
Anelka Praise
He is so good and I knew the form he's in now was coming even after the first six months. What a shame that we didn't get him much sooner but oh well life works out like that sometimes. Just glad he's here now and is in the form of his life with Chelsea, hopefully one day when he's an old man he'll look back on his time with Chelsea as the best period of his career. He deserves credit for going to Bolton and starting all over again, many footballers would have disappeared off the face of the earth after all the bad transfers etc but he didn't. He is extremely talented, perhaps our most complete player in a sense because he can score goals, create goals, make others around him play better etc. Chelsea legend imo (one of our best strikers ever) and hope he and the team win a major trophy this year because they deserve it and none more so than Nico! Legend. :P

Franco Di Santo
He looks strong enough and quick enough to play at this level. He will develop given time, Drogba at his age wasn't even playing football let alone registered at a club like Chelsea. He plays for a team that does not create a lot and he works his balls off for them. He might not have scored as often as we'd all hoped but he's worked hard for Blackburn and been a part of some of their best moves/games. I admire what he's doing and wish him all the best.

Arsenal. Very kind of them to roll over everytime we play them recently.
