I would agree to it had that been the case just this season, which is not true given that we did find ourselves in similar situations against City, Everton and Inter and the changes that he made dint really make the impact that they were supposed to. Surely the squad was bigger and the options available to him were more than he has today. This is my only concern with Carlo's tactics though I'd be glad if he proved me wrong.

If JT is back for this game I am quite confident that we can get 3 points, if JT is unavailable and Alex continues to makes petty errors I'll be on the edge of my seat for 90 mins. This one is probably one of the toughest fixtures this month and a victory could really be the confidence boost that the side needs.

Good point and I dont recall the last time we won a game after going a goal down this season. The point is very valid that his subs don't tend to work in games where we are a goal down - Inter in the CL last season and the games against City, Sunderland and Brums are an ample indicator to that. He generally takes off a midfielder to accomodate a striker which seems to back fire with us being stretched in the middle of the park and prone to a fast counter.

Was a disgraceful action according to me considering they were 5 down and he shouldn't have acted in the manner that he did. Clearly a player who lacks any grit/ fight and loses his head when things aren't going his way.

It doesn't cost but it surely requires a lot of skill which Arnesen and his scouts did possess. We've spotted quite a lot of talent in his stint as compared to the earlier years where we had any exciting youth coming through the ranks.

Or for our key players (Terry and Lampard) to return at the earliest, that's what we should be praying for.

Lost the last 3 games they played in the championship prior to this weekend, so they aren't exactly setting the house on fire. I am happy with the draw and we should continue to give some of the youngsters a chance in the early stages of the FA Cup.

You conveniently ignore the ones that have proved to be good signings with the likes of Anelka, Ivanovic, Yuri, Bosingwa who are established first team regulars. And I am not getting into the current crop of continental youngsters like Bruma, Kakuta and Van Aanholt who are close to first team today. Or is it the name Arnesen fails to exude any sort of optimism/ positive vibes?

To know whether he is the answer we need to put him in challenging situations and to me he has passed most tests that he has been put into. In Jan when we were short of strikers due to the ACON he stepped up in the FA Cup and ensured we dint have to rely too much on Anelka. He pretty much stepped up against Zilina and got us the winner. One sided? Yes he looks to be one of those player but you cant rule out a youngster on that basis, had that been the case we'd have never seen a star like Messi (not comparing the two). Fact is he was one of the better performers in a young side that we put out against Zilina.

The press/ media would be praying that we do not get a win against Zilina to blow this up further. I hope we win the next couple of games to shut these guys up.

I agree. For the wages that we paid and reputation that he came with I dare say he never put in a consistent run of stellar performances. My best memory of Ballack would be nailing the penalty against United at the bridge which got us back in the title race. A top lad but sad to say he is well past his prime.

Firstly I dont think we are going to buy 3 players, secondly I dont think there is a big signing coming in Jan. Having said that I'd love to see Cahill in a blue shirt at the earliest and it may not be a bad idea given Terry's declining pace and Alex's dodgy fitness record. It will be a long term solution to an area which seems to be the biggest concern at the moment.

That's an understatement and put across very mildly.

We do have a couple of lads (Mancienne, Cork) who could do a similar job and have been tested in the Premier league for various clubs. The difference being we as a club believe in having established international players as squad players. Things may change gradually but there no signs as yet.

It will be very interesting to see the pricing strategies for Xbox and PS3 this holiday season. My guess is the PS3 will be available for $249 whereas Xbox may not see a huge price slash given their slim version was launched a while back.
