I voted "Good", if we take results from only this season in all comps into account you have to say good, if we win the CL it will be changed to "Great". But that does not mean I have any faith in the managment at all. When Ranieri got us to the CL semis it was a similar season, good results and steady form, but plenty of negatives and no good endings, as the teachers say at school "satisfactory effort, but could do better".

I'd love to send this to the players, pin it to the blackboard before training, they'd piss themselves !

30 years ago, when we were underachievers F.C, we were stuck in our mediocre world of all hope and no glory. The defeats were as painful then, as they are today. But over the last decade we have won more than we did for the previous 90 years of our exsistance. Over the last 10 years our support has taken on a new guise, a fan who expects glory every year, a fan who expects the perfect players to play the perfect game, under the perfect manager in a perfect stadium. Thank God for those of us that remember we are not perfct, by a long chalk.

Yeah i will apologise to you all for having to much faith in my beloved Chelsea if we dont win at least 1 of the said trophies. More than Roman would do. But i do think that somehow our name is on the CL trophy this season, even considering our poorish form for most of the season. No one remembers poor form, just trophies. Liverpool won it a few years back with little to no form, they were in 4th position in the league, and 3-0 down at half time in the final, but they still won the CL final, so if they can do it, so can we.

Can we agree to hope I'm in the position of bumping this thread come the end of May ?

Travelling across Austrailia is uncomparable to travelling across the UK. You can be sure you will be spending at least 50% of your travelling time stationary, and you'll be paying an arm and a leg for the privilige.

Thats 2 years on the trot that the Chelsea Vs Manure game has been put back so far in the season that the league is tied up by then, so another meaningless match to come.

Is he being realistic in saying he thinks Manure will beat us (if we meet in the final) ? I dont think so at all, i think Manure have their name on the EP, but certainly not the CL, i can see Barca beating them over 2 legs. Gav seemed so certain Manure would win both. Maybe he is trying a bit of reverse physcology ?

Manure Vs Le Ars 4pm KO I'm sure we will all be listening/watching to the match with much more interest today. The way i see it if Manure win today the league is as good as over. If they fail to win today it will be a MASSIVE swing in our favour, because if they do not win, the scenario will change, and they will be handing Chelsea the advantage (even though we will still be 3 or 4pts behind) as Chelsea will be able to say "If we win our last 5 league games, we will win the title", something only Manure can say as we stand this morning. With Arsenal needing nothing but a WIN i cannot see this ending in a draw, even if Manure would settle for a draw (which they wont) Arsenal will do all they can to win right up to the final whistle. Also Maka is good for another season, Mikel is still only 20 and could do with another season under Maka's wings so he can perfect the holding role, but imo he will eventually be the perfect replacement as he is so strong.

Welcome. If we buy another RB we need to sell a RB, 3 is too many, or 4 if you count Essien.. I 100% agree we need a creative player, but these are the hardest players to find. The best creative player we have is Joe Cole.

Not only should Drogba and Anelka be playing, but also Kalou, if Kalou gets put out on the left, Anelka wont be pushed out there.

If we knock the scousers out, and manure knock Barca out, we will be the no1 ranked team in europe (rankings based on last 5 seasons).

If Liverpool knock us out no, they will be.

Kalou and SWP fight that one out Kalou isnt frustrating to watch, he's coming along fine now he's getting regular games. SWP has not had the play time Drogba has had. Still got a long way to go before he beats Gronks! Frustrating yes, but he was out on the wing so it wasnt a KEY position, and Gronks didnt roll round on the ground wasting time.
