Great win, not many teams will go to Newcastle and get 3 points. Don't see why people are criticizing Torres, Drogba was shocking bar his goal.

Pretty much exactly the team I would of picked. Think an early goal will be crucial today, Everton always look resiliant then fall apart after they concede.

So Torres will miss Bolton away, Everton at home and QPR away? Could be a lot worse, and we have Champions League games he'll play to keep him in form. Will be interesting to see if he plays against Arsenal seeing as Drogba usually destroys them.

Don't actually think Arsenal will miss him that much in the long term. Yes he was a great player, but he was a pretty poor captain who never managed to win anything and seemed to be a bit of an innate loser.

Torres and Mikel played really well, but we didn't create that many decent chances. Need some guile and more threat in the box, Benayoun for Lampard, Drogba on for Kalou.

Surprised Ivan's on the bench, should be ahead of Alex imo. Suppose he does offer cover for Bossy and at centre back mind.

Great news for him, but I can't see us keeping hold of Zhirkov, Bertrand and Pva. I couldn't say who'd I'd prefer stayed having not seen them play, just a shame two of our best young talents play in the same position, and have the best left back in the world above them in the pecking order.

Very lucky to be given that, but their goal was fortunate too. We've played well in parts but are crying out for a natural right winger. We'll win 3-1.

West Brom are a decent footballing side but Carson and the rest of their defence is awful, tidy finsih from Kalou mind.

Apparently we've made an offer for him. Seems very strange, he's too expensive to warm the bench but I can't see Cech going anywhere.

Our fixtures are definitley favouable in comparison to Arsenal. They've got a fair few tough away games (Tottenham, Stoke, Bolton) and need to win all their home games if they're to win the title, so who knows. Can't say I'm that bothered if we get second or not.

We might as well try Torres up front with Drogba again.

Dream on. We lost due to lack of quality in wide positions. People complaining about PF coming on should realise he put in the only decent cross all match.

Couldn't agree more. The fixation of Torres having not yet scored is rather silly considering that ALL of our strikers have been having trouble finding the net. While he has undeniably underperformed I think substituing him at the 60-70 minute mark in matches isn't helping and giving him the full 90 against United will be a great oppurtunity to start paying back his transfer fee. Against United I'd start with a 433 of; Cech, Ivan, Terry, Alex, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Anelka, Torres and Malouda. Its going to be a very tough match but we have the ability in our squad to turn it around.

Here's what I think could happen. Out: Drogba, Bosingwa, Malouda (possibly), Kalou, Borini (to Swansea if they get promoted, if not somewhere in Italy) In: Van der Weil, De Bruyne, an exciting, talented winger (Mata/Hazard/Sanchez) a young striker (Neymar/Lukaku) and perhaps a promising home grown player, although I'm not sure who it would be. It's inevitable one of Drogba/Anelka will leave, and I think unfortunately it'll be the former. I think these buys would give us a great squad that would have enough fresh imputus to go on and win the league next season
