  1. they sell anderson and think a great player like mata will compensate!
  2. since he carries that sack of ****e team is it a wonder that he is injured regularly? i can imagine if he had our team around him he will perform like lamps.
  3. mata is a brilliant footballer and this is not a slight but perhaps we should take the views from their respective national managers.
  4. perhaps i am off target but i can't help but notice that over the decades we have had people who ran our club who were all football fans. people can say whatever they like about abramovich but reading stories about him lending his ships to players for holidays and giving airport clearance for the england team because JT rang him shows that players respond to a football fan owner like him than they would respond to yank owned clubs who really have no affinity with football.
  5. very sensible post in that you have pointed the most glaring mistake that we have made in not having a compass in our player recruitment.
  6. the poor lad is only 20! gareth bale only came to the fore at 23! he isn't ross barkley where there are world class players in front of him but barkley is performing better because he is surrounded by better players than you would get at boro or watford or wigan! i can still remember when he was partnered with ramires and help overturn a goal deficit against zilina. like i said surrounded by better players he potentially could be what we hope he can be. sometimes i wonder if he has made the wrong career move to be with us when someone like wenger might be better for him!
  7. and we will get over mata! the 1988 relegation where we won the replay was very gutting because i can remember the disturbances! along with my scouser mates whispering sh*te in my ear! 1979 was bad as well. besides the relegations i must admit the FSW been appointed left me with a sense of WTF?!

mata is a fantastic player but one has to realise that he is behind iniesta and xavi for a reason. the problem was that our recruiters without foresight (before JM came back) had recruited too many attack minded players where we have now got to sell them on because in any other team they will be 1st choice. because they recruited so many it has left us unbalanced. eg matic. JM had to work out who will fit in and move on those he deems unable.
  9. we gazumped spuds and it was splashed all over!
  10. what would people say if certain footballers use different coloured blow up dolls? is that racist? too many people who are looking to be seem to be doing the pc thing because they are afraid of what others think! it is like anelka who i personally do not think is racist just naive in his actions and believes. i call my black cat captain casey stoney because she is female and i support chelsea. am i racist?!
  11. i can't for the life of me see mata going to a sinking ship! he is a class player who can go to any other club who are solely football orientated with much better prospects of winning honours. from past experience all i see is the glazers pr team paying lip service in the fact that they must be seen to be pro active so that they can be seen to be keeping up with the football world to maintain the money tunnel! eg going for ronaldo or bale will give the believe to the paying customer that they can compete thus keeping them spending money to be involved in supporting the club. i have read interviews that JM would like to keep him. and with the way he is bringing in more midfield players who can relieve the forward players of their defensive duties then i can see JM playing mata in the way he played duff, robben and cole in the past when makelele was playing. maybe i am completely wrong but that is how i read into what is in print. until he is wearing that sh*t red then i don't believe it!
  12. as some have mentioned, i believe that his signing will allow others more attacking time and playing time.
  13. some people really need to think that in every winning team there is always going to be 'limited' players who will always play a part in their success. i am not mikel's greatest fan but he has my APPRECIATION for what he has done for our club like every 'limited' who has been a part of our success.
  14. this **** is probably hated by other scousers and the only attention he can get is from the people who hate him!
  15. if you had someone like yaya toure i would guess JM would be more than happy to play mata a lot more!
  16. our missing link is more than likely going to stay put because i have read somewhere he is going to finish his career in his home country.
  17. i reAlly hope we do not get a striker of any description! we brought demba ba because he was scoring for fun at toon and nothing at the bridge. strange that we have 3 good strikers affilicted with the same condition! maybe it isn't the strikers?
  18. toure of citeh has got me thinking!!! he is providing such a good platform for citeh's forwards by bullying and dominating that midfield that they are performing. having mulled over this i was thinking we brought demba ba because he was scoring for fun at toon. he was surrounded by players like ben arfa and cabaye which was underpinned by cheick tiote. since coming over to the bridge the lad has struggled! i mean we have supposebly 3 good strikers who cannot score consistently! why is this all afflicting them at the same time? normally it is usually 1 is of form and 1 is on fire! they are not in the same class as the drog who was not only worldclass but he was such an imposing physical specimen that i personally think that he has covered up the weaknesses we have in midfield. with him gone those weaknesses have come home to roost! i think that it is our midfield which is missing that link and not our strikers.
  19. i'm not surprise since he is doing the job of 2 players!
  20. merry xmas to all the true blues.
  21. that homage that the drog payed to JM makes me believe that torres will start banging them in soon!! i'm hoping!!!!
  22. to be fair to the 3 in the epl they are marked really tight in wrestling and kicking moves! and in many instances they have quality 'evil' defenders who are adept at spite!
  23. doing well in the EPL and champions league without playing the high quality consistent football we all know we are capable of is pretty good in our eyes but then again our detractors will grab at any sh*t to put us down!! and because JM and Chelsea sells rags we are fair game! even if we did have that consistent quality then the detractors will accuse us of being boring and is it good for the EPL like it is good for the spl!!!
  24. 10 years back we were never a mid table team and 10 years furthur back we were still not a mid table team but at the start of the next 10 we were worse than mid table! i can still remember boro putting us down in a play of! but i can remember shrooming in my youth and the summer of 90s happy pills but they still didn't make me think cobblers!!
