what no Star?

Featured Replies

i dont understand this. last week a poster named Star was on here quicker than you could say "knee jerk reaction" telling us how rubbish ancelotti is and how we would win bugger all. yet this week theres no sign of him. very strange..... :D

I want my Chelsea back ...............

I was disgusted with the display of a so called Chelsea team yesterday .

A keeper who came and caught crosses . Fast paced counter attacking football . Moving the ball about across the park with direction and purpose . Creating countless chances 14 attempts on goal terrible I tell you terrible .

And then to top it all off we bring on a couple of kids !!!!!! Ian Portfield must be turning in his grave god bless him .

You can shove your season ticket where the sun don’t shine

A noble 'Stars in Your Eyes' attempt there TBB but you forget the bit where you state your credentials first.

Didn't I mention I had lunch with Gus Mears in the Swan Hotel in 1904 in Walham Green and gave him a few options what he could do with his athletics stadium ?

Isn't Star the one whose avatar is a picture of his wife in her "smalls" - or am I getting him mixed up with someone with exhibitionism by proxy syndrome?

In Star's defence - we haven't won anything yet!

We've beaten a relegation candidate in Spain and a side that Arsenal put 6 against in the past week. A very good week for Chelsea football club, and you can only beat what's put in front of you, but lets have a bit of perspective.

We played some magnificent stuff in both these games but Blackburn turned in one of the worst performances I've seen for years.

I for one, will give praise when and where it's due, but it's a long old season and Chelsea have managed to 'blow-up' more times than I care to remember, so I'll remain pessimistic for now.

Judgng by the way this league is panning out, I think 80-85 points will win the title this season.

It'll come down to the games against the big-boys!

the football we played against blackburn was the best football i've seen us play in years

all down to the flicks and tricks of joey cole imo. free flowing and exciting to watch (2nd half anyway). no suprise to me we went off the boil a bit when he came off

ancelotti has stated previously that he see's joey in that role behind the strikers (a role he hasn't had the opportunity to fill for us) so i'm hoping some of the impact joey had on the game can be attributed to ancelotti telling him to go out and play his game, again something he has always had limited opportunity to do for us

I pretty much agree with all of that. As I said at half-time, if we hadn't scored it would have looked like it could turn out to be one of those games, the kind where we are totally dominant, have all the possession, plenty of chances, but none of them in the back of the net. Truth is, Blackburn were truly absolutely bloody woeful. And that needs to be born in mind to put Saturday's performance, good as it was, into perspective.

Similarly with Atletico. Even though we came out 4-0 winners, for much of the first half, they were well in the game. At one stage I was reminded of the game at Roma, who had also been going through an awful patch, underachieving, confidence at rock-bottom, rumours of unrest in the dressing room and at boardroom level. And we managed to f**k it up big time.

There's a long long way to go yet.

Agree with Lofty and Bluenut completely, although I think missed the point a bit

Which is, I believe, Star only seems to turn up when things are sh*t :)

However to sit on the fence ... loyal "go to every game" supporters are the type to moan at their own club and players all the time, misserable F***kers the lot of 'em :shhh:

That's exactly the point, and this is not a go at anyone. but I think DKW was just making fun of Star for only ever showing up when things were not good, a prophet of doom, lambasting Carlo at every turn, and then comparing him to Scolari...got a little too pesimistic.

Anyway, we'll all reserve judgement, and not count our chickens. If you've followed Chelsea for more than 10 years you know that things don't always go this good! But in the meantime at least lets get behind our Manager!

Star had some great accurate info when Jose was in charge ahead of everyone. Now seems to know no more than the rest of us.

As for the footie we are on top of the table, just about qualified for the next stage of the champs league. Great goal difference.

Can't ask for too much more at this early stage. Xmas/new year will likely tell the tale.

i agree, its about now last year things went wrong. Our record is pretty similar to that of Scolari's at this point which is why i refuse to get carried away. Its between Nov-Jan that the wheels came of our title challange last year.

At the moment though my glass is half full.

except the two biggest challenges we expected to face in the early games weve won pretty comfortably, against spuds and the dippers. games which we didnt win or look anywhere near winning last season.

I got the jist of it, but he's harldy Octville :D

thats not really something to be proud of , not being as bad as octville.... :D

I think members that go back to the CSR days will remember Star as an alright bloke. As I recall he worked for a bookie and got a lot of his info there.

if you were shacked up with a lady 30 years younger you would imagine life couldn't get any better

Sounds like Chelsea's all he has left to moan about :D
