went for ivan....defended brilliantly today....and yet again not in his own position. Right up until the end. well played.

My initial pick was Essien and im gonna stick with that. He was truly like a Bison today. We didnt score on a break, but he seemed to lead the attack every time we recovered the ball, fought through tackles, and kept the ball

But this was a great day. Everyone showed up, and the big names all had great games

Went JT today, the man was an absolute inspiration and so happy that he got the goal. Great performance especially considering the scandal about his Dad that has come out in the last 24hours. Ivan was also very good. Petr looked solid in goal throughout the game as well. Other honourable mentions: Ashley, essien, lamps, drogba, ballack, anelka, deco, joey, riccy, alex and kalou (in other words all Chelsea players on the field)

Terry for me. Solid at the back and the goal just edges him over Ivan.

Yes, Nani, it is a surprise to see Ivanovic going forward so much. I used to think that he was a defensive-minded defender, but it looks like that is not the case.

The major skill where Bosingwa shades it, for me, is his crossing, which tends to be pretty dangerous on diagonal balls, without him pushing too far up and exposing RB. But overall for that position, I would certainly take Ivanovic there, especially in tight or tactical games like this

John Terry for me. An absolutely titanic defensive display, capped off with the goal.

It really said something about his performance that all the Man Utd fans in the bar I watched the game in were literally screaming after JT repeatedly intercepted their passes and cleared their efforts forward.

Essien was an absolute beast in the first half. Every time he got the ball things happened. Anelka showed some brilliant skills, capped off with a Gronkjaer moment a couple of times when he tried to cross it, and Ivanovic was a demon in the second half. I think we've found our big-game right back.

Nani was right in that Obertan did have the best of Ivan when he came on, but that Frenchie is skilled, and his legs were fresh.

Was extremely impressed by the whole defence today, and Essien as well. Other players showed up in bits and pieces by my reckoning.

My vote goes to Ivanovic too for some outstanding defending and the constant threat he provided going forward.

Ive gone for Anelka agian, he looked our one attacking player today who could hurt them, he seemed right up for it.

Further back JT,Riccy and Ivanovic were all awesome.

Went with Anelka, but it was very close between him and Ivan for me

Had to go for Anelka today. He was absolutely superb and gave us an out ball when it looked like we had nothing on.

Like I said in the match thread, Anelka, Ivanovic, Cech and JT were immense. Ivanovic gets my vote though, he looks immense in that right back role, and seeing as Boss is going to be out for a month, he looks the perfect replacement, and may even cement his place there. Sorry, Boss.
