OI! MEDIA ARSEHOLES - MORE OF YOU PICK UP ON THIS

Drogba to Pledge £3m of his own money to build a hospital in the Ivory Coast

Have that, especially with the news Roman may match his bid.

Like to see another Premiership player do this, yeah Drogba get's millions but he could quite easily tell everyone to get stuffed. He always appears very active in all situations involving his home land.

What a fantastic guy, if only other millionaires were so generous with their time and money.

 DD, but i wouldnt hold your breathe if you think the media will make anything of this. if anything they will probably slag him off for only putting up £3mill.

Drogba has done plenty of things in the past that pissed me off, but i think this shows how much he does for his country and how decent a bloke he is.

He is also a United nations peace ambassador but others don't seem to notice that when they call him a prick. Well done Didier fantastic player and a great guy

What a nice gesture by Didier

A bit more than just a gesture!

He is fiercely proud of his country and has not forgotten his roots. He was instrumental in getting an international played in former rebel territory and directly helping to end the civil war. Chelsea TV ran a documentary on it a little while ago. He seems to be regarded as a true national hero there.

I don't suppose he is looking for approval from the british media, but any praise he gets over this is fully deserved.

Yeah, apparently he is the face of his country. You see him on every billboard and poster everywhere. Allegedly after he got the ceasefire, they approached him to be President.

Despite his antics on the field Didier is a truly great human being which is far more than can be said for many of his critics.

That article is a complete and utter lie. Drogba only ever dives, bullies, feigns injury and steals lollipops from defenceless children. There's no way he would ever do something good.

You're supposed to put a winky emoticon after a tongue-in-cheek post, so that even the densest of us know you're joking. I'm assuming you are, but I'm not 100% certain!

You forgot to mention that he he also eats little babies. :(

I believe he puts some of them on spikes first. :D (for moi)

But only boy babies. Then he sings "My boy lollipop!" ;)

Im surprised, but the media and rival fans actually seem to be taking notice of this. Despite their opinions on the player, the actions of the man cant be ignored when they are that conspicuous. Great job Didi

I really hope Roman sees fit to match it, and that they make a big show of it. I hate to nitpick, but the Daily mail's article has "CHANGING MAN" under his picture, as if this signals he is becoming good. As ES says he has been a role model in life, and an inspiration and figure for peace. Stupid daily mail....
