Very sad news. I hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as the article suggests.

clubhappy, are you having problems when you post? I've noticed a couple of double posts recently.

Now Sky say its very serious, life changing . This i hope is incorrect.

Mate my posts sometimes go twice , when i click post sometimes nothing happens , so i go post again , think thats the reason, im soo impatient.

Very sad news and I really hope that the news about the extent of his injuries are exaggerated.

I hope this isn't the end of his career.

And my thoughts go out to Val as well. Big hugs to her in these dire times.

Oh no, Carlo :shok:! Potentially life changing, that sounds suspiciously like a spinal cord injury. Let's hope that's not the case. Poor Carlo :(

i wish carlo all the best, hopefully he makes a full recovery because he's got a few years left in him playing at the top level and it would be sad to see him bow out like this.

Carlo :shok: Im glad to hear its potentially bad for his career and not his life, but nobody deserves this, least of all a nice guy and a club servant like him. Im hoping for the best and that he makes a full recovery, but Im just glad he is alive and well

why do sh*t things happen to decent people. i could name at least a dozen players deserving of this kind of thing. hopefully it doesnt end his career, though it doesnt sound too promising.

I feel quite ashamed of myself because my first reaction when I read this headline was, " Oh God, poor Val!"

However, I haven't totally lost touch with reality. My sympathies to the real Carlo for this dreadful accident. I hope he will eventually be back on the pitch.

And it's not just football mate. To be honest, this world is governed by conspiracy.

I hope, and this sounds dreadful even i my head, that it's "just" career ending. I'm sure Carlo is ok financially, but he'd be able to move on to the next phase of his life after playing ends. Ok, his playing days might have been cut a couple of years short, but I'm sure he'd much rather that, than the alternative of not ebing able to walk again.

Hope he pulls through this and goes on to a coaching career.
