New improv series called 'Fast and Loose' that I'm watching right now. Seems pretty good. Doesn't hurt having two of my favorite improvers, Wayne Brady and Jonathan Mangum on it, and also women who are actually funny for a change.

I watched the entire first season of Walking Dead, it suffered from a disease of one-off, one-on. It seemed like the first, third, fifth, etc. episodes were amazing, but the other were garbage. I enjoyed the show, but hope for more consistency.

I am getting towards watching The Wire, but I would like to throw out a rec for those that have already seen it: Six Feet Under. One of the greatest pieces of art I have ever seen. Even better if you have trouble dealing with your own mortality (as most of us do).

Lastly, I would recommend Friday Night Lights if you can watch it. I know most of the posters here could give a sh*t about American football, but it is true that high school football in states like Texas are utterly insane. I watched most of the first season of this show (it went on for about 5 more seasons) and it was amazing, I only quit watching due to conflicting shows and lack of DVRs. The last episode of this show just aired not too long ago, and the coach won an Emmy for outstanding male actor. Check it out if you have Netflix.

Have you read the graphic novels? I've yet to see the television series, but the graphic novels are pretty good. I was surprised, as I didn't think I would enjoy them, but they're actually pretty decent.

I haven't read it, but I've heard it's supposed to be good. Might read it sometime.

Far too strange a program really!

Started watching Arrested Development over the last few days, it's absolutely hilarious. The pilot was actually incredibly average, but once you get into it it's such a joy to watch, hilarious program.

Really? GoT is absolutely mega! I've read all five of the books now, just waiting on GRRM to finish the last two. Hopefully he doesn't die like Robert Jordan did before his series could be finished. The books might help ya a little more.

You shouldn't need to read the books to enjoy the series. If you do, the makers of the series have failed. A screen adaptation should work on its own.

Yeah I've started. It's the Sopranos but middle ages and it doesn't seem to be as glossy as a lot of the period tv series you see about. Tudors, Borgias, Rome etc.

I do. Started on the second season very recently actually. Possibly the funniest cartoon out now in my opinion - both Simpsons and Family Guy has lost some of its charm, although I still rate the former very highly.

I watched two random episodes of that last year when we had a snow day and I didn't have to go to school. One was where they were trapped in a police station with demons attacking it, the other was investigating a haunted house along with a documentary-crew. Both were pretty enjoyable. I ended up getting on Wikipedia and reading the synopsis of the series, seemed like there were a lot of interesting plot lines. Still not sure I'll ever get around to watching it.

So my question is are there any Lost fans here? I know the entire series is on Netflix, so I've been debating on whether or not to watch it. I've heard a lot of the criticisms of the show, how it starts off amazing but tapers off over the years as the writers definitely didn't have it all planned out. Also, I know what happens in the last episode. Still, one of my friends said the first episode he ever watched was the last one and he still went back and watched the rest of them and loved the series. Just seeing what everyone's opinion on the show was.
