ozboy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 A Cole was fined 200 K earlier in the year and now up to 400 K for the most recently reported incident relating to the preseason in Seattle. Considering it was about 4 hours in the hotel, it seems fairly pricey even for a CFC first team regular. Normally I don't comment on these stories but my family (wife and 4 daughters) were all keen watchers of footballers wives. We have since learned that its a pale substitute for the real thing. Also amazing to learn he smokes a lot. How can a professional footballer in this day and age smoke and still retain Ashley's level of fitness. That in itself is amazing.

I thought all these unhealthy practices must be banned for footballers by their clubs.
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 oblivion, sky sports are now running a story that claims all that "considering his future" stuff is pure garbage. As far as his personal habits, I think this story has been poorly handled by the club. If he was really fined so heavily earlier this year (I think for him thats only about 2 weeks wages, to be fair, which is a standard amount) then it shouldnt have come out now and they should handle it in house. But they need to take a firm line on him, without punishing him excessively considering the club stood by JT when he needed support. Also, I cant really believe he is a heavy smoker. Maybe has an occasional smoke when out on the town, but no club would put up with that. Not with modern methods of team fitness and training
BlueDay Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Ashley Cole and Cheryl splitting up according to SSN.
Tim Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Serves him right. Now can we PLEASE stop making the news for all the wrong reasons and actually focus on winning the title. As much as I largely couldn't care less what our players do off the pitch, this last month or so has taken the p*ss. Do your f*cking jobs and stay out of trouble - is that that much to ask?

Its not our fault that the media decide to ignore the transgressions of others and focus like a laser on our squad, but that is the way it is, and the club are right to tell the players enough is enough. You'd think they would have personell to help keep players in line and coach them on how to avoid these situations and scandals (they do in American sports) but I guess not. I would rather Cole didnt get treated differently than JT, despite the situation, but from here on out I hope things change. I wonder if these scandals will make the club start to look at the character of transfer targets before we buy them. i.e. No robinhos
Barry Bridges Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 pfffffff Real/Barca are interested enough to offer 25 M for A Cole! Hey, its not a fire sale, lets look closer to 35m for the best LB in the world when Lescotts are going for 18-20m!
Alex Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Ashley Cole and Cheryl splitting up according to SSN. Don you think its a bit ironic that news is on sky SPORTS news. Cant see the club letting him go because of this though

He may be an ass off the field, but on it....best damn left back in the world (you know the line!)......we'd be hard pressed to replace him.
dkw Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Don you think its a bit ironic that news is on sky SPORTS news.Cant see the club letting him go because of this though its not ironic, its f**king idiotic. and it shows just how f**king obsessed this country is becoming with so called "superstars lives". jesus were an embarrassing f**ked up country.
Tim W Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 No one ever consider that there could be other reason behind this. The Sun's approach to marriage guidance, i.e. Ashley's guilty, is probably not the most other orthodox.
Blue2thecore Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 What a shame. Big deal. Who really cares.
Zola Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Did anyone see the sun "journalist" on channel 4 news last night? What a disgusting pig, excuse of a human.
BLUENUT Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Ashley Cole and Cheryl splitting up according to SSN. If she wants to stop being publically embarassed, she shold try giving up singing!

clubhappy Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Anybody else get the impression that John Terry accidentally shagged the wrong Chelsea left back's bird.
Bridgeboy Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 This will probably do him and his football a world of good, I read today in the daily mail that the girls Mum rocked up after the last affair and decided to stay. If my misses wife just rocked up to keep an eye on me, I would tell both of them to f**k off. Where has this 200 000pound fine come from ? I have not read any such statement from a Chelsea official. These tabloids really have got it in for us, having won a back to back already this century, I doubt they could handle another leagie title. Sad little boys with keyboards.
yorkleyblue Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I think that this is all going to work itself out Fluffy Lovey-dovey
BLUENUT Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) Cheryl Cole has announced she is about to release a folllow up single to 'Fight for this Love'. 'F*ck of and Die you cheating c*nt' is expect to fly off the shelves next week Edited February 26, 2010 by BLUENUT
PloKoon13 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) Some footballers do smoke. It's pretty rare, but it does happen. I know Berbatov is still a pretty heavy smoker. And Zidane did too, apparently: Edited February 26, 2010 by PloKoon13
BlueDay Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 David James used to smoke aswell, but quit. Not sure if the same rules apply for a keeper though.
