So... the guy's a muppet, but the girl is a slag and a disgrace to the human race.

She is probably a manipulative bitch, but he is also a dirty old bar steward. I hope Lady T chops his cock off!

Not to mention another another british newspaper happy to derail England's world cup campaign for the sake of a pretty dull story. I have no idea why we allow their journalists anywhere near the team during the campaign.

But they will still tell us they are our no.1 paper for everything to do with the world cup and are 100% behind our boys. The media sicken me at times, especially when they go from reporting the news to actually creating it which was never supposed happen. Setting people up is about as low as they can get.

Indeed it is, Brit. But in my eyes the customers and the prostitutes are equally despicable. (or not)

To be fair a newspaper's job is to report, not act as public relations managers for the FA. As a journo myself if we learn of someone doing something questionable and it turns out to be true, we're going to report it.

If anyone should be taking the blame, it's Treisman for being an idiot and not keeping it in his pants.

This. Its ridiculous that these papers get away with this every year, there should be a nationwide ban on them. Its as if they are staffed by a cabal of foreigners who are undercover, trying to make England look as awful as possible.

Do these journos have any idea how much revenue comes to a country who hosts a World Cup? Especially if it was England? If this is what sinks England's bid, it will be beyond disgraceful. I'd like to hear what the contractors who may have had stadiums and facilities to build for 2018 what they think of the Mail trying to humiliate Lord Triesman

This is a man's private thoughts, and granted he shouldve been smarter about what he said, but in no way has he made these feelings public. And what if they are true? Theyre so focused on the outrage of the words. It reminds me of Jose when he accused Rijkaard over Anders Frisk. Everyone was outraged, but nobody did anything more than punish the accuser, when what he said was true.

This woman is just a pawn, put up to it for money. I feel sorry for her, and I pity the scum who have put her up to this. This is journalism in the modern world I guess. No story? Go out and invent one, and in the process ruin whoever you can

This is the exact excuse FIFA need to go with someone else for 2018. Well done, DAily Mail, you f**king worthless worthless rag

Don't get me started on Journo's. This really p*sses me off. Journos, especially undercover reporters, either for Papers or TV shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Royal family, the England camp or any war zone. They are bad for moral and will undermine the country, its troops, its national team and anything else for a few sales. especially the negative war reports, can you imagine Churchill or Monty putting up with those sort of stories during WW2. They'd be done for treason! Scum.

I am a journalist. A journalist's job is to cover stories. We're not public relations specialists, we're not patriots, and we're not press agents. If we find out that a prominent person is doing illegal things, we're going to report it and publish it. If we find out that someone famous says insensitive things, we're going to report it. The Mail is a newspaper, not a public relations agency. They are doing their job.

The first thing I was taught when I went into journalism was act like you're being recorded at all times. Paranoid? Maybe, but when your actions are under a tight watch, you need to be careful.

If the Mail did anything illegal or unethical I'd disagree with it, but as far as we all know, Jacobs probably just came up to the Mail and said this and that and boom, you have a story. Also, as far as we know she isn't a reporter.

Is it news though? What a bloke says to a woman half his age whilst desperate to bed her is surely as reliable as a Frank Lebouef clearing header.

p.s it was entrapment however I am not sure if that counts as unethical in the world of journalism!

Bear in mind that if this kind of thing was presented as evidence in a court case it would be thrown out. Basically the story is a randy old man chatting to a woman he`s already been with tries to impress her by talking bollocks, hardly watergate is it.

It seems to ignore the fact that it's sister Sunday paper did a total entrapment number on Triesman and that even the News of the World turned this story down before it got to the mail.

what a joke!

I have never liked Triesman, he should never have got the job in the first place. I personally I don't care he has lost his job. But what has happened is out of order and then to claim the woman cost us the chance to stage 2018 is a joke - I wonder how much they paid her!?!?!

There is no fact in this story, just an old infatuated bloke who wanted to impress a tart by spinning some yarns. And the Mail chose to run with it and take englands chances with it. - Now they're trying to shift the blame all onto her!
