Anelka followed by Ramires.

Nice to see people voting for Torres but he's a long way off producing a motm performance I think. A goal could make all the difference.

Totally agree BJD. Torres should have scored tonight. Especially with those two chances in the first half. And it has to be slightly worrying that he didn't. I would rate him a 7/10 overall on tonight's showing.

Anelka, Lamps and Essien were the shining lights for me tonight. I voted Nico.

Fair play to nico he just kept on and on and tried hard to link up with torres to boot,(good lad).Frank and michael put in a good shift, plus another stirling effort from Ramires, well done one and all.

I dont think its all that worrying really, for any striker out of form the last thing to return is the goal scoring. He looked a lot sharper tonight, better movement and more fight for the ball. His link up play with Anelka was pretty impressive at times, his turn and skill to make room in the box for the shot that was saved was impressive. I think it will come for him. My vote went to Ramires, though he was superb again and was massively impressed by his pace, he made up about 5 yards on their striker at one point, fast as anything.

FC Copenhagen v Chelsea: player ratings

How did the Chelsea players fare in Copenhagen? Were they men or mice?

By Oliver Brown 10:16PM GMT 22 Feb 2011

Chelsea ratings - man or mouse?

Petr Cech: Had one effort from Martin Vingaard to gather in the dying seconds of the first half, but otherwise blissfully unruffled in the Chelsea goal. Man. 7/10

Jose Bosingwa: Resilient at right-back, if scarcely tested. Sought to provide for Anelka but his final delivery too often went astray. Mouse. 6

Branislav Ivanovic: One of the two players singled out by Carlo Ancelotti for his consistency, the Serb was a picture of serenity at centre-half, intercepting a Christian Bolanos cross with a diving header. Man. 8

John Terry: To use his own vernacular, could not have ‘manned up’ much more convincingly, throwing his body in the way of any dangerous balls and frustrating target man Dame N’Doye all night. Man. 8

Ashley Cole: Rather anonymous by his standards, but did not suppress his normal impulse to forage forward. Combined only fitfully with Malouda on the left. Mouse. 6

Ramires: Has appeared a delicate flower for Chelsea this season, and was never the same here after finding himself on wrong side of lusty challenge from N’Doye. Mouse. 5

Michael Essien: The Ghanaian is nicknamed the ‘bison’ for his intimidating play, although such threat was in scant evidence last night. Looked to play in Torres when he could, but his influence was strangled. Mouse. 6

Frank Lampard: Back in the scoring vein, and betrayed his confidence with one ambitious attempt from distance early on. Slipped through Anelka deftly for the decisive second. Man. 7

Florent Malouda: Had the luxury of time and space on the wing. There is a nagging doubt, too, over his newly short-cropped hair - Frenchman sometimes gives impression of concentrating as much on his grooming as his shooting. Mouse. 6

Nicolas Anelka: Exploited Jesper Gronkjaer’s lapse to unleash a drive for the first goal, and was lethal in dispatching low finish for the second. Showed elegant link-up play with Torres, too. Man. 8

Fernando Torres: Looked sharper and possessed of a surer first touch, but miscued on several occasions in trying to register his first Chelsea goal. Eclipsed by the tougher Anelka. Mouse. 5

Subs

Didier Drogba (74 mins for Anelka): Failed even to join the pre-match warm-up with team-mates. Did not even put his boots on until 10 minutes before his second-half appearance from the bench. Mouse. 4

Yuri Zhirkov: (85 mins for Malouda). 6

Salamon Kalou: (90 mins for Torres). 6

The streams I watched on weren't the best, but harsh in particular as far as Torres and Ramires are concerned. Not really surprised though, I bet the press had already written there 'Carlo gone' articles.

If you look at Sky's player ratings, they (i.e. Sky) gave Torres an 8, compared with "your rating" of 5.7, from which I think it's fair to assume that Torres was voted down by large amounts of bitter scousers and other assorted muppets.

Anelka was clearly the best in my opinion...but it just felt good in general to not have to be angry after a match.

Guy makes a dick of himself in his first sentence about Cech, Vingaard was still one the bench in the dying seconds of the first half, the shot he had was in the opening minutes of the second half.
