June 26Jun 26 Left back rumour of the day is. . .Maxi Araujo, 26, from Sporting - Uruguay. He is a LB and LWB. £69m apparently.

June 28Jun 28 I would be careful with the “get the manager who he wants”. If it goes tits up, manager gets paid to go away, and some unknown players on ridiculous contracts.I am always wary of managers who want to play a back 3 and require specialist players. Remember that one year when Pep, Klopp and others used the back 3. They all abandoned it the season after.
June 28Jun 28 I will say that he and Palestra are very good carriers of the ball. Something a lot of us mentioned we lacked in the squad.
June 29Jun 29 Jorrel Hato, Marco Palestra and Geovany Quenda also capable of filling in at left-back - do we need him? €11.1m for Rayo Vallecano [28].
June 29Jun 29 Can't say i've ever watched him (has anyone ever watched Rayo Valecano?) but his stats look distinctly average.
June 29Jun 29 “Eli Junior Kroupi WANTS to join PSG this summer. Bournemouth’s currently values the player at € 100M which has cooled the club’s interest in the deal, but the situation could change if the English club lowers its valuation.”£100m!? the ‘next big thing’ market has exploded beyond anything rational.Diomande with barely any top flight football under his belt for €100m+ (and Leipzig would rather keep him for another season - how bizarre is that?), Lille potentially asking for €80-100m (+ a loan back) for a talented Bouaddi, but not exactly the next Zidane.Seems teams are now banking on their ceiling without any awareness of the floor.
June 29Jun 29 “Aston Villa value Chelsea and Arsenal target, Morgan Rogers at £130m. They believe that Morgan Rogers is worth more than his England teammate Elliot Anderson. Villa’s valuation also factors in the fact that Middlesbrough hold a 20 per cent sell-on clause.”Can see why we are shopping outside the league for unknowns; though I’d rather develop within than sign average players on ridiculous 6yr contracts, and bumping their wages 10x—20x.

An ever-inflating bubble, and a bubble, like all such bubbles, that has only one future.

June 30Jun 30 Mason Mount is looking to leave United . . .AC Milan have an interest (they do like former Chelsea players at that club). Should we put in a sneaky bid for the lad? the lad who's all grown up now and yet it's always Frank Lampards voice i hear saying "Mason Mount". lol.
