May 30, 201214 yr Just because you don't agree with others views doesn't make them stupid or retarded you muppet.
May 30, 201214 yr Just because you don't agree with others views doesn't make them stupid or retarded you muppet. it actually goes the other way around. one disagrees with others views because theyre stupid or retarded
May 30, 201214 yr Just because you don't agree with others views doesn't make them stupid or retarded you muppet. You're right, it doesn't, but your views aren't retarded because I disagree with them, I disagree with them because they're retarded. As Lane says, it's a matter of causation.
May 30, 201214 yr The irish commentator was ripping into him though. Anyone else hear that? Was it Tommy Smyth? If so I wouldn't read too much into him, he was never even really a fan of torres when he was scoring for fun at liverpool and has slagged him off the whole way through the season. Completely agree with the sentiments shared by Davey, With Hulk in the squad to act as third choice front man we do not need another striker, their are other areas of the squad that we need to focus on far more, starting with right back if rumours are to be believed and we are about to lose both bosingwa and Paulo
May 30, 201214 yr Tommy Smyth - what's the English term - he's a twat. Whenever I think Torres haters I think Smyth and Lipton. If Torres had been playing for Real Madrid and scoring the goals he was scoring at LFC, Smyth would've been kissing his a## on a regular basis.
May 30, 201214 yr Yeh tommy smith mate, grumpy old git, really slaggin of torres. It got to a point where it was actually getting abit nasty
May 30, 201214 yr Not really the appropriate thread for this but going to have a wee rant about it all the same. The problem with commentary, and espicially commentators like Tommy Smyth and Shaka Hislop is that they are always giving their opinions during matches and they have very strong opinions on certain matters. In my eyes the job of the commentator is to discuss what is going on in the match and make observations on that as well state a few interesting facts, not sit there and talk nonsense for 90minutes. Some of the ESPN commentary during our CL run was so bad that I turned the tv onto mute
May 30, 201214 yr Smyth isn't a twat. He is the only one on ESPN that consistently defends us when Hislop and co are too busy w**king off Barca and slamming our style of play. As much as I love Torres as a player and believe he will come good people are entitled to criticism him given his firm over the last 2 years, it's up to him to prove the critics wrong.
May 30, 201214 yr There is a difference between saying that "he isn't where he was" to criticize everything he does on the field. And there is also a difference between saying it like once per game and constantly slamming one player 90 minutes week in and out. So yes, he is a c**t, not for criticizing, but for taking away all the focus from the match itself. It comes to a point where hearing about Torres' hairstyle or they way he ties his boots is enough, there are other players on the field as well...
May 31, 201214 yr Yeh tommy smith mate, grumpy old git, really slaggin of torres. It got to a point where it was actually getting abit nasty I remember a few years ago and this troll said something along the lines of "Cech stinks like a three day old curry" after he made a blunder and allowed a goal in... Just another Chelsea hater, I guess?
May 31, 201214 yr Linked with Moussa Dembele .. would love to see that signing. http://www.teamtalk.com/papertalk/7787856/Paper-Talk-Blues-go-for-Dembele?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
May 31, 201214 yr Can we get this kid scouted please Reckon Messi is actually his godfather? Are he and Aguero even good friends? Sounds fishy to me
May 31, 201214 yr http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11676/7787949/Olsson-flattered-by-Blues-link Blackburn defender Martin Olsson admits he is flattered to be linked with a possible move to Chelsea. Reports have suggested the Blues are weighing up a move for the 24-year-old as they view him as a long-term replacement for Ashley Cole. Olsson is expected to be one of several players to leave Ewood Park this summer in the wake of Rovers' relegation from the Premier League. The full-back, who is away on international duty with Sweden ahead of Euro 2012, admits he is aware of the interest in his services "I know there has been a lot of interest and I have heard about Chelsea," Olsson is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail. "It proves that I have done well this season."
May 31, 201214 yr wow. I love Press Pass. They are a great laugh except that Loserpool prick Steve Nicol who knows only Loverpool and slacks everyone else off, while he defends the most rubbish team in the world. Lebouef is a nice balance in Chelsea's favor. Hislop is well rounded and relatively objective. Tommy Smith is there for the show and hates on just about everyone constantly. Great fun for the evening and I love the Gomez hate there - Hislop is 100% right, this guy is lucky and he usually scores in Pippo style - by the ball hitting him instead of him hitting the ball.
May 31, 201214 yr Not aware that this is even a rumour but I read that Bolton's Jussi Jaaskelainen has been released. I just thought that he might be an improvement on our current back up keepers. I know Hilario has been given a new contract but I thought that it was believed he was being lined up for a coaching role. And Turnbull might be English but I have little faith in him doing a job if Cech was out injured for a few weeks or so. Jaaskelainen is 37 now and he might be prepared to accept a place on the bench of the European champions.
May 31, 201214 yr Olsson - no thanks, we already have a great back up in Ryan. Jaaskelianan would be a good shout but with Hilario having just signed a new deal its unlikely.
May 31, 201214 yr I like Olsson as a left midfielder but as a left back he's poor. Anything around £5mil and I think he would be worth it.
May 31, 201214 yr We must be able to get a better LM than him tho surely. We are the european champions!!!! never gets old saying that!
May 31, 201214 yr they'll publish anything these days El Confidencial says Abramovich wants to bring Pep Guardiola to Chelsea - and is willing to wait for the former Barca coach should he stick to his plans to take a year away from football to live in New York. The prospect of buying Messi has been tentatively discussed and it's suggested Abramovich would not blink should Guardiola demand the Argentine's signing. Messi's €250 million buyout clause is within Abramovich's reach and Chelsea's marketing men believe they would make their money back in shirt sales and merchandise. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/chelsea-owner-abramovich-willing-buy-250m-messi-guardiola-3209961
May 31, 201214 yr We have heard a few random rumours that the club would like to have a joint press conference for both Hazard and Hulk. This leaves me to wonder that maybe a third seat could be set for that press conference, one for the manager. If Roman is looking to make a statement of intent by having those two players share a press conference, maybe he wants the manager to be unveiled at the same time?
June 1, 201214 yr If we were looking at a right back to bring in now we're letting Bosingwa go I'd say that Lille's Debuchy would be a great signing. Apparently Newcastle are interested in bringing him in too though. He would be relatively cheap at £7-8m and is 26 so relatively young. He was also one of Lille's best performers when they won the League last year and is probably going to be France's first choice right back for the Euro's as he has been given the number 2 shirt.
