The other game he went off I think was Oxford at home did the same cruciate ligament. Was a top keeper and would have played for at least another 8+ years

Not sure why as I don't think the game was on TV. About 1,000 Rangers fans at the game. There were no top=flight games in Scotland that weekend as the national team was playing in a World Cup qualifier. Remember walking into the ground and recognising the Ranges scarves and songs. At half-time a Liverpool fan wearing a half-and-half hat (Liverpool and Celtic) walked in front of the Chelsea and Rangers fans and got a load of abuse.

Said on hear before, we laughed before game as old bill put a line between fans at first!! Then realised Rangers were supporting Chelsea. Tough for some getting in on that corner terrace as Rangers were all in first! Great day, went up over night on a coach from Fulham Rd. left at closing time with the back seat reserved as the bar!! Remember buying a football and playing on a concrete pitch with metal goals in the ground, was probably used as match day parking. 20 odd a side tired and drunk but when you’re 18 it’s all fun! The game was early as it was the day of the grand national.

Remember going to City in 89 couple of Rangers coaches saw them get off every single one of them staggered of the coach but like the old Weebles advert not one of them fell down

One of them were called Aztec but I can't remember which ones. Gola Harrier and Bullet trainers are still popular especially with mods.

Must have been the trainers as I remember having Aztec trainers. My mum worked in a sports shop and round about age 9-11 had Gola, Adidas (kick) and Puma trainers.
October 31, 20178 yr Does anyone remember Winfield football boots?. They were Woolworths answer to Adidas you got some serious piss taking if you had a pair of them.

Always remember those light plastic balls, that were black and white and had a teams name in each white square, I always use to underline Chelsea's name on the ball, I think they use to do balls with players name on as well, names like Trevor cherry and Trevor Francis, but my main one was Ray Wilkins followed by Trevor Brooking (lots of Trevor's!!!), I must of been about 7, mid to late 70's
