August 15, 20205 yr Not vintage, but was in Kenya a while back and passed this bus on the way to the hotel.
August 15, 20205 yr Boro 88 terrible day this is taken from the Boro end. Then the six match terraces ban which definitely affected the team we were awful for the first two months. In my opinion the complete opposite of 83-84 we should never have been relegated with the team we had apart from Man City away I can't think of any other notable matches or incidents.

Interesting shots from the North Terrace that I've not seen before, but I think that's actually from the Charlton game that ended 1-1 and condemned us to the sod awful Play-Offs in the first place. I was at that and remember some of our lot got escorted out of the away end after it went off once we'd scored. I'm pretty sure that Judas Durie took a tumble outside the box for our penalty that day too. Terrible memories all round.

Remember walking away from the bridge that afternoon and thinking, how the f**k did we get relegated, mind you our own fault, we had two chances as should of beaten Charlton at home and wouldn’t of been in play offs, and yes that following promotion season was no where near the 83/84 one, but saying that did enjoy the 88/89 and 89/90 seasons back in Div 1, but my age may have had an effect on my view of those two seasons as being 19/21 everything was good, happy days Edited August 15, 20205 yr by chi blue

Massive punch up in the Northstand that day and Charlton more than stood their ground. As I recall their goal took about three deflections and might have been scored by ex Spurs Paul Miller.
