Still one of my favourite away games went with mates from school about 50-50 Chelsea - QPR we didn't see them afterwards though 😁

From when we played at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup in January 1986. We won 1-0. It was bloody cold in the ground. I remember the snowball fight between the players and the fans during the warm-up before the match.

A fella called Garrison who contributed to this site spoke of being a Mod and a group of them going to various away games on scooters. This would have been about 64 because they used to stand on the half way line of the West Terrace, before the West Stand came into being in 65 and the Shed becoming the place to go. 

 

From April 1970. A week before the Cup Final. We beat Spurs 1-0 with the Leader of the Team scoring the only goal.

I’m trying to source my old ones from my old lap top my first game was in the  top tier west stand against the spuds I remember zola scoring a Peach of a free kick that day.
