A great player in a proper shirt. You just don't like wavy thingies @Boyne ! Bobby Tambling signed that photo for me on the spot. I'm immensely pleased with it!

There was one shirt in the store and I think it's the new goalkeepers shirt. I should have asked one of the staff but couldn't be bothered. Will post a picture in the shirt thread but it's wavy and orange.

Interesting that Eddie and John Boyle are wearing different styles of shirts. Different shirts for different teams e.g. senior and youth? Looks like some of the England shirts are different as well. I don't think John Boyle played for the senior Scotland side. One of John Boyle's nephews drinks in my local pub. Will show him the photo when I next see him.

July 27, 20241 yr Eddie Mac looked well old even when he first started playing for us. He must have been born with a wrinkled forehead. Been watching re runs of The Sweeney. John Thaw also had a lived in face. He was only 32 when the series started
July 31, 20241 yr Ron getting his marching orders after decking someone Brighton away FA cup 1973. Couple of cameramen on pitch taking photos! "He was acting" complained Harris afterwards! Game is on the Big Match YouTube. Outbreak of wild straight red tackles in 2nd half only earning a booking or two.

August 3, 20241 yr I think it's Peter Houseman behind Ossie. Looks like Chris Garland to Charlie's left. Difficult to see but looks like Steve Kember in front of Paddy Mulligan,
August 3, 20241 yr Funny that with just a snip of hair we can recognize these icons from that great team.
