Vintage Blues pictures and film

I'm honestly not sure. I've got vague (and some not so vague) memories of queuing overnight for tickets, but after all these years I can't remember to save my life whether or not that was one of them.

Two cracking pictures from 1955 and 1913.

I just wonder how many who watched the 1913 game, survived the two Wold Wars to watch the game in 1955 ?

Players and spectators.

I've never heard anything about Arsenal being in the Shed for that match, was it all ticket?

It was all ticket, and I've mentioned it on here before that my dad took me to the Bridge on a Saturday night to queue up for tickets before promptly farking off to leave me, 12 years old at the time, to get the tickets. We went to the replay as well, nearly 63000 in Highbury that night and the biggest crush I can remember getting out of the place.

Your memory is far better than mine, that's for sure. If it's the same one, then what I remember is people turning up with old sofas and armchairs presumably nicked from building sites. Actually I'm pretty sure that's the one: I'd have been 16 then (17 in August), so I was old enough to be out all night.

Ossie scoring the 1972-73 Goal Of The Season during the FA Cup Quarter Final against Arsenal on 17 March 1973. The match finished in a 2-2 draw. Arsenal won the replay.

There's a link at the end of us playing Leeds with the East Stand half built which is interesting. Lost the game mind you but great header from Ossie.

Got in through the back door in 94 too. As the song went- we didn't win the football league we didn't win the cup...but we're all going to Europe

Chelsea at Oxford 93/94

Oxford away first season in Div 2 '76? was fun. My first sway game out of London, Oxford chased out of their part of the covered end onto the pitch, then chased out of the side terrace they'd run to.

Oxford was a brilliant day out. Went up by car, stayed up there after the match. Ran into a pub load of tooled up racist locals who literally wanted to kill a mate of mine because of the colour of his skin, but I managed to drag him away. In another boozer, he told me that a couple of black brothers wanted to kick the sh*t out of me for acting flash, which was how they interpreted the fact that I'd walked into "their" pub wearing a not exactly shabby looking sheepskin.

Was this when the East Lower was the members section? We used to get cheaper tickets in there. In fact I think I am the 353rd member to join the scheme and I still have the number today.

dont think so. I used to go in gate 13 around 82, was in the C O S C back then but that was just to be able to go to away games. Also some one I knew who was a Millwall supporter came up to The box office for the f a cup game in 84/85 and bought loads of tickets for gate 7 which was the other side of the tunnel in the east lower. During the game they came into gate 13 and didn't get much response which was surprising.

My fav fa cup goal of all time, though it wouldnt surprise me if the Ronnie Radford goal for Hereford gets voted the best.

Ossie's goal in this game and Zola's against Wimbledon for me.
