I've just been spending my evenings trying to decide what to play; Opening games, closing them again. Browsing my library. Browsing the steam store. Then giving up. I just never know what to play any more.

Sounds like you are experiencing gaming fatigue. Maybe take a break and come back gaming when something you really want to play comes out?

I’ve once again returned to AC: Odyssey and Valhalla for the Crossover event. It was pretty fun, great to see the two protagonists from the different games working together! Now back to Valhalla to complete the treasures of England quests so I can finally get my hands on Excalibur…

Have you tried World War Z. It’s a good co op game

No, problem with something like that is finding people to play with me. It's hard enough to get the boys togteher on a game that isn't League of Legends these days, without asking them to pay £25. Also, i'm still a little burnt from Back 4 Blood, which was a massive disappointment, in that genre.

Totally agree about back 4 blood. WWZ was free, not sure if it still is.

I looked forward to b4b2, but it was terrible.

It really was. I though it would be a new and improve left 4 dead but it was so much worse than that.

What? I loved Back 4 Blood. I didn’t play Left 4 Dead so maybe don’t have anything to compare it to but I thought it was a great blast.

Started Deathloop - it’s weird and taking some getting used to. Think I’ll end up addicted though.

Also got Two Point Hospital for £6 - I’m 100% addicted to that one!

Great little time waster isn't it.

Started Persona 5 today as it was free on PS+. And I think I love it?! Where has this been all my life. I usually hate turn-based games (apart from Pokemon) but took the plunge with this one and am addicted. Played 5 hours today.

Persona 5 is a great game, insanely polished. Remember to save at every safe room you come across, you're able to retry on bosses but any deaths to regular enemies results in a game over. Also, spend all your time creatively, you should always be doing something with your time and never going to bed (unless you're forced to)

Check out Persona 4 Golden afterwards. The graphics aren't as good and all the dungeons are randomised but it has a much better story and cast.

I’ve got to say though, I’m finding it challenging. I’m in the first palace trying to steal Komoshida’s heart and finding it tough- some of the shadows regularly wipe out my team quite quickly if I’m not clever. I’ve had to lower the difficult to easy in some cases.

Regardless, I’m having a blast, like you said it’s just so polished. I’m finding the story quite engrossing so far (and a bit dark and twisted? Shades of abuse and dare I say it, rape?) but I have no idea where it’s heading though!

I need to fuse more Personas and make better use of my time after I’ve done this palace like you said- exploring the neighbourhood and building relationships with the confidants.

Got Subnautica Below Zero in the sales. I’m flying through it much quicker than the original, I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing though.

Its a much quicker progressing game that the first one, easier to find the stuff you need to build etc.

Enjoyed it though.

Just finished It takes Two with my daughter, a fantastic co-op game, one of the best games I've played lately.

So I finally finished Mass Effect 3 after many years and the ending is the worst I have ever experienced in a video game ever.

I retract my previous statement as I forgot about this beauty!

It looks fantastic. Dying to get my hands on it!

Finished Far Cry 6 today. It was ok, nothing special. Bland, Ubisoft game really. There was some good moments but overall, lacked some imagination. The gun play was decent though.

Thought they missed a trick the baddie. High profile actor and in theory, perfect for the role but he didn’t do it for me. Again, made him very bland compared to the other baddies in Far Cry games.

Overall, it plays well enough without ever really to striving to be great. It’s filler and probably the worst of the series.

6/10.
