Some interesting games coming out September/October. Anyone interested in getting Deathloop?

Considering it. I’ll be getting the new fifa this year - not got it for three years now and I’ve got £200 of vouchers to burn through ASAP!

Deathloop has been released to rave reviews- IGN and Gamespot have both given it a 10/10! I am very tempted to purchase it.

Arkane made Dishonoured which I played years ago and I loved that game. Having looked at the gameplay I am getting strong Dishonoured vibes with this one too…

Not sure what the fuss is about with Deathloop. Definitely not a 10/10 game, not even close.

@ForeverCarefree , care to comment? You're quite critical of games in general, I wonder how you've been finding it?

It's good, I'm enjoying it but there's a lot of recycled ideas from previous Arkane Studios games like Prey and Dishonoured. Personally doesn't feel like it's doing anything particularly new with regards to gameplay mechanics and I would have like more use of the Dualsense controllers features which I reckon they've dialed back on after Bethesda got bought by Microsoft.

AI is terrible and once you realise enemy limitations you can't just dominate quite easily. Game is broken down into four areas and in truth none of them are particularly big.

10/10 scores are being generous, it's probably closer to a 7 or 8 out of 10. Worth playing but mainly because of the sparse number of new gen games being released.

Pretty much what stopped me from buying it. As much as I really liked Dishonoured it looked very samey and wouldn't take too long to complete.

Talking of being samey, I've pre-ordered Far Cry 6. Give me an Ubisoft copy-and-paste game anyway.

Anyone got FIFA this year? I’ve got it for the first time since 2018 just because I’ve got loads of vouchers to get rid of!

First thing I’ve done is resign Eden :laugh2:

No, but I downloaded that E-Football thing, which is supposed to be Konami's new product after PES. It's Overwhelmingly Negative reviews on Steam. Can see why. Though at least its free.

Recently I have played:

The Witcher 3 - Finally finished it

Disco Elysium

Gamedec

Got the Deathloop platinum trophy today.

Will probably trade it in for Far Cry.

Release schedule still doesn't appeal to me that much for the rest of the year. Will probably pick up Battlefield when it comes out next month.

Battlefield has been delayed hasn’t it until Feb 2022? It will be mega though.

E-Football while it is abit of a mess, it does have potential. Quite like the game plan. It’s ridiculous that companies release games in such poor condition.

Got Hitman 2 for free - I used to love the old ones but when they switched to this episodic release style I decided I’d pick them up on the cheap later on instead. I don’t want to support gaming going down that route one bit.

Battlefield hasn't been delayed (yet).

Horizon and Dying Light both got pushed back by a few months.

Back 4 Blood comes out soon but I'm not sure if I want to invest in a co-op shooter, I tend to find them frustrating.

Ah I thought it had but it was a one month delay. My mate works for EA and he said EA are pulling everyone on to help on Battlefield. Said they’re trying to make it 5* release.

Really looking forward to Back 4 Blood. I played the beta and loved it. Hoping to get Far Cry but might pick it up nearer Christmas.

Has anyone played Monster Hunter Rise? Heard it's coming to Steam and it seems to have some nice graphical improvements (4K, higher frame rates etc) over the Switch version.

Where does everyone order their games from? I want to avoid Amazon, Game etc because they’re abit pricey. Shop To always sell them cheap and delivery is quick but their website seems to be down at the minute.

any other good suggestions?

I'm usually use Amazon for pretty much everything- I pre ordered Far Cry 6 from there until I saw that they wouldn't deliver for another 5 days after release, despite being on Prime.

So I cancelled my pre-order and ordered from Curry's instead. Next day delivery guaranteed. The price is the same though. I can never find anywhere where games are drastically cheaper, I accept that they cost around 50 quid these days!

I`ve used CD-Keys in the past and they were usually very good, though most of the games I get now are digital.
