May 3, 201610 yr Picked up Black Ops 3 to pass the time. Don't normally play online shooters but it seems like good fun. Very difficult as there seems to be almost no health and very quick shooters which can be abit fraustrating. I'm used to more strategic shooters so the "run and gun" element is very different. It will keep me going for abit until something decent comes out. Black ops 3 is decent, one of the better COD games in the last few years. I went back to The Witcher 3 yesterday, since I still haven't completed it. God, what an amazing game! I was completely sucked back in and lost about 3 hours to it doing side-quests. I'm on the Skellige isles so not too much of the main story left to go.
May 3, 201610 yr Skellige islands are great fun and travelling around is ace. The world is so big and varied, it's not just big for the sake of it. Great game the Witcher. Have you completed the story yet? What outcome did you get?

I'm a massive Titanfall fan (Titanfall 2 is out soon if anyone cares, can't wait for that) so once I saw the wall running elements of BO3 I knew I would really enjoy it. It took me a while to get to the almost no health thing, you are normally dead within 3 to 4 bullets so you have to really take advantage of the movement mechanics. My main gripe with shooters is the movement being so restricted, Battlefield is an absolute nightmare in this regard. It's beyond unbearable, I don't know how people can play it. You can't even jump properly.

May 4, 201610 yr Respawn are doing a star wars game, yes I'm excited. Oh so very excited..... "A LETTER FROM STIG I’ve got a good feeling about this… We’ve all heard this story before. At 5 years old you see something beyond comprehension, an extraordinary fantasy that at first doesn’t seem real, but in time becomes inspirational law. The heroes, the villains, the visions, the sounds, the music, imprinted forever. Of course I am describing Star Wars™, the most influential franchise in modern history, and we at Respawn Entertainment are honored to have the chance to contribute to that legacy. I am happy to announce our partnership with Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm to deliver a whole new adventure to the galaxy. For me, just typing these words is surreal. I have been playing Star Wars games my whole life, now I get to make a Star Wars game. On top of that, I get to do it at Respawn, a studio comprised of the most talented collection of game makers, creators, visionaries, and (most importantly) advocates for the player, that I have had the good fortune to work with. And we, like you all, have no shortage of Star Wars passion. The entire company erupted in cheers when it was announced that this would be our next endeavor. But it’s not all fun and games — we promise to pay respect to the Star Wars legacy at all times, a fact that will be constantly reinforced and honored as a central game design tenet. Fans should expect the exemplary level of quality first established at Respawn with Titanfall, a game that epitomizes our studio’s dedication to slick, larger-than-life action and fun, groundbreaking mechanics. Moving forward, we couldn’t ask for a better universe in which to continue this journey, and although I would love to share all of the exciting places we are going, we have the following piece of information to divulge with you all today: We’ll be making a third-person action/adventure game set in the Star Wars universe. Now, I understand on the surface this might sound a bit dry, but developing a game within the ever-expanding Star Wars universe opens up so many paths for us to go down, and an unparalleled playground to design within. We have already planted the seeds by assembling a small, but incredibly talented team, ready for the amazing journey that lies ahead. With this in mind we are looking to expand the dream. Do you want to join us on a journey to a galaxy far, far away? We are hiring in all departments. Looking back to 1977, I witnessed Star Wars unleash its magic on the big screen, forever changing me (little did I know how much at the time). The crazy thing is this magic doesn’t have a shelf life. Decades later I observed the same wonder in my kids’ eyes as they watched A New Hope. What a rarity, for a book, a film, or even a game to have that kind of impact, spanning several generations, even promising to continue into future ones. The opportunity to be a part of that is not something to take for granted. This is an opportunity that I, the team, and Respawn could not and would not pass up. This is the chance of a lifetime. May 5, 201610 yr Finally got Just Cause 3! What a blast this game is! The wingsuit adds a whole 'nother dimension to it. In terms of gameplay it's pretty much the same as Just Cause 2 (blowing lots of sh*t up) but that's fine by me!
May 5, 201610 yr Does anyone here have PES 2016? I've not owned a PES since possibly 2009, but Amazon are doing it for £16.99 and that includes the full Euro 2016 tournament with all teams licensed. I usually prefer FIFA but i find PES to be quite fun and ok once you patch all the kits into it.

I liked the demo, didn't think it was worth buying at the time though.

I usually prefer FIFA but i find PES to be quite fun and ok once you patch all the kits into it.PES is sh*t.Keepers make the game unplayable and as for the EURO game it's a complete joke. International teams still have old kits while half don't even have licenced ones so it's generic nonsense. It also only has 1 new stadium for the EUROS. At least with FIFA they actually made the effort to change things for the breakaway EURO/World cup games. It felt good for the first few weeks because it was different to FIFA but it's a game that's clearly unfinished. The animations are few and far between with the same tackle motion for every single player while you will hardly ever see a foul being given in your favour. It's presentation is also very dated, while FIFA gives you the MOTD day look PES offers some mid 90's Channel 4 look. Stick with FIFA until next year Edited May 6, 201610 yr by Chelsbear
May 6, 201610 yr Pes is brilliant. Loved the last two editions of it. Yes the presentation is dated but the gameplay is excellent. It feels like a real game of football.
May 6, 201610 yr Need a decent 4X game to sink my teeth into this weekend. Might give Endless Legend another roll.
May 6, 201610 yr Chatting to a mate today and we were debating whether 2016 has so far been a poor year for gaming. I think I would have to do yes so far. Even looking forward, there isn't many big releases coming or new titles that look exciting.
May 6, 201610 yr First quarter generally is the quiet period for new releases but by this time next week we'll have had Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, Doom, The Division, Alienation, Ratchet & Clank, Far Cry. There's Mirrors Edge and No Mans Sky coming out soon too. Later in the year we should be getting The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn. Plenty of good games and lots of variety too.
May 7, 201610 yr big battlefield fan so excited for that, would prefer a ww2 setting but looks awesome either way.
May 7, 201610 yr First quarter generally is the quiet period for new releases but by this time next week we'll have had Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, Doom, The Division, Alienation, Ratchet & Clank, Far Cry. Typo? There isn't another Far Cry coming out, is there? No Man's Sky is all I want.
May 7, 201610 yr I still don't know what no mans sky is going to be, I hope they nail it though because it could be incredible.

May 7, 201610 yr Boring then? Nah it does actually look pretty good will wait to see what reviews say but it certainly has potential.
