I liked Wildlands because I played it with a mate, otherwise it would have been boring as hell. I’m a fan of the far cry series for the storylines really, the game play for each game is nearly exactly the same! Don’t get me started on Watch Dogs, that was the cherry on top of the steaming pile they’ve produced over the years. They have the formula of; pick franchise; create massive map on same old engine; f**k we should think of a story; f**k that’s not enough to charge £50 for better think of a gimmick; f**k the game still only lasts 10 minutes best spread loads of collactables that add nothing around the map; sh*t still not enough best show horn in pointless player upgrades. The only saving grace is the platinum trophies are normally easy to get! I’ll by far cry 5; cheap and second hand. Ubisoft don’t see a penny that way. Re; The Witcher 3. I’m still playing it now. That’s how you make a great game! Don't even mention the controversial downgrading of their games. I think Watch Dogs had massive potential and they really messed that up in both games. You've nailed it on the head really, Ubisoft is a poor mans EA, I do like a lot of their past titles for realism and dark setting like their Tom Clancy games (Splinter Cell, Rainbow, Ghost Recon) solid games in there. But they've completely milked the Assassins Creed series to just look good rather than be good, bringing one out almost every year with not really any significant improvements and ignoring a lot of user feedback. The Witcher 3 is how you make a game, instead of ripping off consumers with their dumbed down triple-A games (Mass Effect Andromeda was completely unforgivable), actually try and set the standards in gaming. I've stopped buying a lot of games out of principle as of late, especially since I paid for Mass Effect Andromeda I will never buy an EA game again not even FIFA, they completely lied to the consumers that they had a great game raring to go that was completely finished and developed. No instead EA already knew Mass Effect was doomed but released it anyway so they could get some sales and just completely abandon the ME series and work on Anthem. What an absolute joke of an organisation... It almost makes you appreciate Ubisoft. Edited April 4, 20188 yr by Slojo
April 4, 20188 yr That’s why I don’t preorder or even buy anywhere near when the games are released. If it’s EA/Ubisoft then I buy second hand because, like I mentioned, they don’t see any of the money. Resident Evil is another childhood favourite that’s been franchised to death! Even the DLC for The Witcher was better than the crap that comes out nowadays.

Even the DLC for The Witcher was better than the crap that comes out nowadays. Scary isn't it, have you seen how cheap the Witcher 3 game of the year edition is also? The DLC's are cheap as chips and they're like brand new games on their own they have that much content in them. What I do like about CD Projekt Red is that they're aware of how bad game companies are ripping off consumers these days. The leading director of Cyber Punk said Microtransactions are a definite no and an insult to gamers. That right there earns instant respect, I just hope their online features won't in any way downgrade the single player features that they have for the upcoming Cyber Punk game.
April 4, 20188 yr Going to be an expensive few months for me. Bought Far Cry 5 last week, currently working my through it with the aim of getting the Platinum trophy for it which means basically doing all missions, collectibles, hunting challenges and a couple of things relating to arcade mode, I'm probably about 75% done at the moment. End of the month God of War comes out and then Detroit Become Human form the people who made Heavy Rain and the Dark Souls remaster come out end of next month. They're announcing the release date for the Spiderman game sometime today too... I can hear my wallet gently weeping.
April 4, 20188 yr Im having a blast on Far cry 5, and I couldn't really get into Far Cry 4 so I`m surprised. It maybe helps that I`m not really bothering with the main story too much at the moment and just wandering around doing sh*t, while laughing at some mad moments. for instance, I was trying to do a quest where you had to rescue 3 hostages, failed it twice as the hostages got shot. 3rd time I tried it a random bear ran in as I was trying to snipe the baddies and attacked them, killing 2 and leading one away. Made it much easier.
April 4, 20188 yr I know nothing of these things of which you speak. I sit here, with DOOM2 on my laptop, plugged into a 300W Laney keyboard amp, shaking the walls and cheating like f**k. That'll do for me. Someone gave me Half-Life and Unreal, but I could never be arsed to go through the hours of training that it made you do before you got to kill sh*t.
April 4, 20188 yr One thing that is annoying about Far Cry 5 is that you can’t match make in story mode for Co-op. You can only play with a friend. So stupid and out dated model. How hard is it to put a match make system on there?

Was all just a bit dizzy-making really. You know where you are with DOOM and there are just so many WADs to download for free.
April 5, 20188 yr I'm a HUGE Far Cry fan- Far Cry 3 is one of my favourite games. Unfortunately, I still have my hands full with Horizon Zero Dawn. It's such a good game with so much content, so I am going to have to wait till summer before grabbing Far Cry 5. It looks great fun, I want the Gold Edition which comes with a remaster of FC3. And then it's just Red Dead Redemption 2 in autumn. Edited April 5, 20188 yr by Blueblur

I don't know anyone else playing the game and just assumed I would be able to jump into some randoms game at some point and help them out.

Elder Scrolls Online are terrible for it, they make it impossible for you to level up so they release these XP scrolls for you to buy just so the grind is easier and you can double your XP. But the worst part is it wasn't always that way, it was easier to level up then things significantly got harder on an update so they could con people into buying sh*tty XP scrolls. That was the main reason why I stopped playing that game.

April 5, 20188 yr I still play GTA and cockstar are really bad for pushing micro-transactions. Yea the DLC's are free but done perfectly for pushing the whole shark card thing. I'm guessing being the same people, RDR2 will be same. They lure you in, then hammer you with extras that mean you need to grind the sh*t out of the game or buy the virtual currency.

I dont know how you can do all these platinum runs, you achievement whore you ha ha...drives me nuts when I get to about 80% and the last ones are just ridiculous, tedious slogs. I always give up.

I always give up. Currently at 31 platinum trophies. Had a slow year because not a lot came out that I was able to get the platinum on. I was going to try for the new Wolfenstien but turns out it's ridiculously hard. I find some games enjoyable just chipping away at trophies... Making sure to collect everything, do every challenge. My most cherished platinum is Hotline Miami, I got stupidly good at that game and it was probably the hardest one I got. I've had a couple of occassions where I've been chasing them only for one trophy to get in the way. The Division I have all but one trophy which is to kill 10 rogue agents in the dark zone. Which basically means killing other players who have killed a non hostile player.... I play solo and people tend to play in groups so it was just too difficult to do. Watch Dogs, there was a mini game about a drinking game and it was crazy hard, apparently they eventually made patched it because they got so many complaints. And yes, I am fully aware of how nerdy I am.
