Barrettinator
Even if it means playing with one leg, you can be assured Drog will be available for the CL final........if that's what you mean.

Ozztheboss
Easy fooled there, old mate. He's not signing shirts because he's not staying next season! He's probably accepted the 250.000 quid deal from Shanghai, and don't want people to buy his shirt when he's not a blue next season! That would be fraud, honestly. Do you really think that Drogba, one of the most famous players in the world, playing for one of the most famous teams in the world with one of the richest mans in the world as the owner can't change the hours of that treatment? There is a reason why he didn't feature on the release video of the 12-13 jerseys. Edited May 9, 2012 by Ozztheboss

General
May 19th might well be his last game for Chelsea, despite nearly single handedly winning most of the cups since he got here the "football men through & through" that run our beloved club will likely let him walk rather than offer him a 2 year contract extension, seems incredibly ungrateful and unwise as he & SFL rescued the season but we all know whom we are dealing with at the top. Lets be honest 90 % of he clubs in the prem would take him even at 34 if they could afford his wages and we know RA can afford it.

Sounds about right, my only concern is that they thought we would buy the story that "He can't attend the signing because he needs treatment". They think we're idiots!! SydneyChelsea
I remember Drogba ragdolling Lucio and co in 2005 in both legs of our quarter final. I don't think I've ever seen a forward win every header in a game. That said I have every confidence in Torres should Drogba not make it. Both if them are so unlike the, strikers in the German league. stevo
Im sure the Drog will be offered a one year extension, they would be absolutely mental not to give him what he wants. But this is Gourlay we are talking about. The enemy within.
shedhead
There will be a clear out in the summer regardless of the result in Germany. Don't be surprised if everyone who is quality is removed along with the crap.
KrazyTea
This summer is shaping up to be kinda exciting what with the many possible personnel changes and any future Battersea announcements. Addition trophies to celebrate as well would be lovely. If Drogs would get another one year contract as a plug in up front on occasion that would be lovely as well. But this is Gourlay we are talking about. The enemy within. I thought Drogba had turned down a one year and it is a case of "two years or nothing"? If that's the case then it's so long Didier - thanks for everything.
Andreas
Guessing hes off in the summer, they probably dont want to mug fans of in buying his shirt this close to the end of the season for him to leave in a few weeks. Gutted, hope its not true.
shedpensioner
Drogba will be gone in the summer! I always thought this was a strange shirt signing appointment anyway! Soon it will be a case of "The King is dead, long live the King!"
matamarryme
Don't be surprised if everyone who is quality is removed along with the crap. I honestly don't think I will cope if Lampard goes as well as Drogba. Two great players and would be a tremendous loss to our team and fans. Ozztheboss
Lampard, Terry and Cole stays (or maybe Cole goes to Anzi or something if we win the CL?). Hopefully we can keep our "new core" with the Spanish and our Brazilian players, even though we might end up out of CL next season. Sell some, keep the rest and replace the sold players with loads of potential (the next star, like Gylfi S., Schurrle and Jovetic).
CFCCAN
What is going on with you lot....so what if Drogba leaves and earns his life long retirement pay in China...God people wake up! This team needs to move forward not stagnant. He has been a great servant but by hanging around until he is using a walker is doing nothing for the future of this club. Yes he is still in good shape, and yes he might get you that winning goal now and then, but it's not about one good performance here and there and when he wants, its about effort and performance throughout an entire season. You can't build the future around the past. As I have written previously, if he wants to stay with the full understanding that he will be sat on the bench for a majority of the games then fine, because he can still offer something, if not, leave like a legend... dkw
Just seen that Drogba trained today which adds to the mystery. I would love him to stay a season knowing he would be used sparingly and in the right games, but if he wants a 2 season deal though I dont think he`s being realistic. Ozztheboss
Drogba has said all this season that he will leave to where he gets the most money and gets a two year contract since he is building 5-6-7 clinics in Africa for children. Everyone understands that we cant give a 34 year old man 250.000 quid (match Shanghais offer) a week for two years! I believe both Terry and Lampard has a contract which says: "must earn as much money as the highest earner", so then we would have three players on record breaking wages with not more than two years left to play (not even two full seasons given their history with injuries). We can't dwell on the past. Lets just hope the Drugzilla can give us the CL-trophy before he leaves! Edited May 10, 2012 by Ozztheboss
undertow
Gourlay said: "We continue to discuss with Didier the situation. "Didier loves this football club, we love Didier, and we'll continue to have the conversations. "Didier and the rest of the team are completely focused on what we've got to achieve in the next week and, once that's finished, we'll sit down." http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7745607/ Imagine Drogba scoring the winner in Münich. Do you honestly think he wouldn't get the two years contract? Yeah, me neither :)

Yeah, me neither :) If he does score the winner in Munich, for me all the better that he left then! I don't want to see a player of his stature decline anymore, I'd rather he went on the ultimate high!
