Pointless signing if true. Ivanovic is clearly better. We have Kane coming through who has potential. If we keep Paolo or Bosingwa for a couple of years while Todd is developing we could have a great pair of RBs.

Play Ivan, and have Kane and Hutch as backups. Simples.

If we really wanted an experienced, attacking right-back to replace Bosingwa, I'd be having a look at Lille's Mathieu Debuchy.

He has had an injury this season that has kept him out for most of the season that is probably why we are so hesitant to bring Van Der Wiel in. Real Madrid are after him along with us and Valencia , i also heard it may only cost 7 million for him because he only has about 12 months left on his contract.

Good price if we could get him for that.

Van der Wiel's a younger Bosingwa. If he's cheap, alright, but he's really overrated.
