Finally got titanfall beta today and what a blast. Had about an hour on it today and my heart is still pounding. So much going on and it's so immersive

 

One of my mates got in to the Titanfall beta and has been talking to me about it. I feel this will be a must buy for me.

Anyone check out the preview for Evolve?

Especially when they add more levels and more monsters, can imagine a map designed of New York for example climbing the bloody buildings like king kong!

The new Thief game is out next week for PS4, looks good. Reminds me of Dishonoured, which I enjoyed very much.

 

I'm just happy to get another game for my PS4. I've nearly completed Assassins Creed: Black Flag and BF4 and FIFA14 frequently send me into a rage.

It looks a great little game, be fantastic if you can get a few mates together to take turns at being the monster/hunter.

From the end of this month is when the new consoles will start to come into their own, Thief is the first one coming out which has had good previews then you have inFamous Second Son and Titanfall next month, then we should hopefully be seeing 1 game a month on both consoles that are really impressive.

 

I'm still excited for Watchdogs whenever it's coming out... Then games like Witcher 3, The Order 1886, Evolve and Dying Light. 

 

 

It's going to cost me a fortune in games this year.

I might have to get that for the PS3, I was a massive fan of the old games on PC. I don't know much about the new game but I hope they've stayed true to the original games and haven't added in lots of pointless unlockable magic powers.

Stays very true to the original from what I've read and you can disable a lot of things like HUD to make the game as difficult as you want.

I have a solid team of 4 (assuming we can play as a 4-team) ready to go against the monster. Some of my mates from my MMO days.

 

I am very excited to see how good this game is. Looks stunning.

There has been a severe lack of games but like someone said, March/April will see more coming out.

My wife is due our first baby in April as well. Bad timing eh?

I wouldnt hold your breath for Watchdogs, its seemingly got massive problems, and may even get canned.

I did read that Ubisoft were having financial difficulties but the best thing they can do is get Watchdogs out there because it's sure to sell well.

Best thing in the very short term maybe, but releasing a game full of issues will only create a backlash which will hurt them far more in the long term.

Really? I thought they were just "tweaking" minor things.

But there is still no firm release date, which is a worry for a game apparently pretty much ready to launch a few months ago.

I've been looking forward to Watch Dogs for soooo long. I know they put the release back a bit, but surely they won't can it! I think I might be devastated if they did that. How sad I am.

I agree there is nothing worse than devs releasing broken games like EA do with regularity (see Battlefield 4) but Watchdogs was due for release and only a couple of weeks before it was pulled, it can't have needed a whole lot of work surely?

Yeah I've had a Google since and apparently Ubisoft are aiming for a release somewhere between April and June of this year... So probably late June then.

 

I'm buying Dark Souls 2 and inFamous next month so I should be kept occupied for couple of months with those anyway. 

Oh for the days of buying a game, installing it and being able to play it straight away.

 

Bought Guild Wars 2. Got home, installed it. Now it has to do 10GB worth of downloads (about a week probably with all the people competing for bandwidth) before I can play it.

The downloads are huge now, I can't remember which game it was, possibly Forza but I read it had a 14GB download attached to it.

What size memory you got on your gaming set up because I can imagine something like that eating into your memory even on a good set up. 

 

My wife downloaded Witcher 2 on our laptop a couple of weeks back and despite having a respectably fast and decent computer the game wouldn't run properly even on the lower the settings. 

 

I can't get my head around PC set ups which is why I'm very happy with console gaming.
