I actually tried that method on the video and surprisingly it seemed to help, the flickering was less frequent but I didnt really play on it long enough to make sure.

Im now struggling to connect the PS4 online now, can only do it with a 20 metre cable connecting it to my router downstairs. This console has just been a bit of a nightmare for me personally!

Amazon have sent me a revised delivery date, it's now arriving this Saturday! I'm dying to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Battlefield 4.

Anyone here got a PS4 with those two games? Do they look as gorgeous as I hope they do?

Battlefield 4 is apparently plagued with problems right now such as playlists missing and it crashing mid game.

EA as always say they are working on it but a recent patch to fix some of the issues has been pushed back to an unconfirmed date.

My suggestion is start with Assassin's Creed, I've read a few comments from people saying it's the best one yet and apparently looks amazing.

Business as usual then; BF3 was plagued with problems shortly after it was released too.

Good to hear that AC:BF was received well. Can't wait to go whaling and plundering the ocean for hidden treasure! And of course, there's FIFA 14 to have a go at...

Tempted by an Xbox, but doesn't appear to be much coming out in the next few months? I like the look of Plants VS Zombies, but that's about it.

Same, I need an epic game changer to force my hand.

I will wait to next year when the price comes down a bit..also by then any bugs / faults should be identified and corrected with the second gen release.

My PS4 arrives today. I'm tempted to sack off after-work drinks and race home to play it. But I won't, that would imply that i'm sad and have no life, which can't possibly be true....cant it?

I'm dying to play Watch_Dogs. Now that looks like a game-changer. But that doesn't come out till early-mid 2014.

Just go home and play it. If you go out you will only be thinking of going home to play it anyway. People will be telling jokes but nothing will seem funny or mildly amusing because your mind will be set on PS4. You would be cheating yourself and the PS4 if you dont go straight home to spend time together. Work people will be there all year long but opening that box and the excitement of setting up the brand new PS4 can only happen once. You should even video it so you can share your joy with others!

Good god Uno, I hope I one day experience that sort of love with someone I meet, not a box of wires and flashing lights!

What's so good about the standby mode, JM7?

Human interaction is overrated anyway.

I'm starting to think you're right. I'm going to stick my nob in the disk drive of the PS4 when I get home and see what happens

The machine will effectively be switched off but you can charge your pads or continue downloads. Its not spectular but just clever and really useful.

Its the little things in life eh..

Started Black Flag tonight on the PS4. Really enjoying it. I'm on 3% in so got a long way to go but so far its great.

Graphics are amazing and game play is really smooth. Highly recommended.

Good! Just unwrapped it and am installing FIFA 14. Will play AC:BF next.

I don't know if the link will work, I've tried sharing from Facebook before.

Anyway I tried out the PS4 share feature yesterday and it's pretty cool, uploads your last 15 minutes of game play which you can then edit down to your liking.

Nothing spectacular about the clip just the final kill of match and then getting to pick an execution move due to finishing with the highest score.

The more I read about PS4 the more loathed I am to get it, you can't play your PS3 games on there? They have to be digitally downloaded or streamed etc? Well that's bollocks for a start. And err... you have to pay to play online? I only ever play/played FIFA and although I love it I can't see myself paying £40 or £50 a year or whatever just to use the Playstation network whilst its still free on the PS3 (I am of the understanding it'll remain free for that console but I may be wrong).

Just seems like Sony are taking the piss.

With the PlayStation Plus that you need to play online you would get "free" games every month for both your PS4 and PS3.

Not being able to play the PS3 games is called not being "backwards compatible" and it was the same with PS3 not letting you play PS2 games on it, basically it encourages/forces you to buy new games.

I know Zeta, I wasn't contemplating getting an Xbox.

FC- The thing is I only play FIFA, I have no interest any other games, not really my thing. We'll see how it goes but once the PS3 is pushed completely out I think I'll be giving up consoles for good.

Got my PS4 a little while after launch, couldnt download or connect to anything and instead kept getting the message "can't connect within time limit". Thought it might be because of the busy servers and decided to leave it a while.

I go back to my PS4 for the first time since then and still the problem is there! I refuse to beleive it is a problem with my Internet connection becausey xbox360 works fine.

If I can't find a solution soon I reckon Im just going to get a refund and buy the Xbox one instead. Just p*ssed off because I've already paid the 30 odd quid for Playstation network

Then why not get a replacement PS4 instead of spunking away the thirty quid and then paying out a further hundred on replacing the console with an Xbox?

If your console is faulty Sony will repair/replace it free of charge including collection and re-delivery.
