hmm, not looking good for the PS4, half of all reviews are 1 star after failures at delivery on Amazon.

FIFA 13 has terrible reviews because Amazon failed to delivery a lot of ore ordered copies on launch day (mine included).

All in all the price probably ends up very similar.

PS Eye is about £60 I think although it could be more, by not including it as part of the console it means the new light bar on the controller is a bit pointless because a lot of developers won't bother using it now.

I find the camera a bit of a gimmick myself and don't like waving my arms about like a loon when playing games.

The Xbox's Kinnect camera is meant to be seriously impressive but what developers will do with it remains to be seen, the original connect ended up being a but of a joke and the games that used it were generally a bit pants.

It will retail around £40, ($60). So it's still cheaper all together than the Xbox One. The Eye is a gimick anyway, just like Kinect. Unless you like the idea of speaking to your console to turn it off and on. I'm not bothered about the eye to be honest.

I got quite lucky with my original 360, it lasted a solid three years or so before red ringing. Upgraded to an Elite and haven't had any problems with it.

 

I don't think I'll be making the switch to next-gen any time soon, a bit too pricey and time consuming for me with uni coming up next year.

Reading through the first few pages pretty much every one of them was console DOA. Some problem with the HDMI port too.

Something you need to consider as well is that most of the people that are happy with their PS4's will not write a single opinion about it, but all of the people who have hardware problems are going to write about it.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you have to of actually bought the product to be able to review it on Amazon so there is a chance there is some Xbox fan boy trolling taking place.

Last time I read it was around 76% were verified purchasers. But if it is 4% (I`m sure I read it was only actually .4% which is acceptable) then thats pretty bad. I would be gutted if I ordered one and it came bricked, has anyone on here got a day one PS4 coming? Hopefully no one has a problem with it, and we can thank our US cousins for stress testing them  a few weeks early.

Apparently falls in line with Sony were expecting (but who knows). That said Sony have confirmed they sold over 1 million consoles in the first 24 hours, in North America apparently the Nintendo Gamecube sold around 650,000 units in it's first month which is the second highest selling now. Which just shows how huge these console releases are. 

 

I agree though, if you were one of that 0.4% you would be gutted, especially considering how much money these consoles cost. 

Finally took the decision and put my xbox 360 up for sale in order to get at least half the money to buy a PS4, I was thinking not to get a nextgen but watching all these nextgen fifa videos I simply cannot resist, and EA Sports UFC is coming out in the spring ffs I need to get it.

I was in stitches the whole time, must watch for any die hard Sony, Xbox or GoT people!

Decided for the first tine ever that I'm going to get Fifa 14 on the PS4. I'm a Pes man normally but as Pes isn't coming out for another year, I need a football game. From the demo, its looks a lot better and very playable. Gonna miss Pes though, had some magic moments on that game.

PES is the only footy game for me. Have they not released one for this season?

Not for the PS4 they haven't. They've decided to wait until next September.

I thought PES 2013 was a real gem, such a good game. Apparently EA have come down hard on the editing side of things and forced Komani to remove certain aspects of the editing.

If thats true that is really sad.

PES is a much superior footballing game in my opinion, and always has been. It feels like a football game. Fifa has gone from too sticky to the other extreme where the ball gets pinged around like an ice hockey puck, I hate it.

I hate the passing and the shooting in fifa.... and the dribbling around a man is awful without pressing a few buttons to do a silly trick. In PES you can take it round someone in a clever way as you could in a real game of footy simply by turning and moving.. Fifa has the advantage of all the names and clubs of course, but for me thats the only place where its better.
