Came across my first problem, my wife. I had tge sky box running through the xbox, but to get sky the xbox has to be on. So thats now been changed. I was thinking about running it through an hdmi splitter, sky in and switch between tv and xbox out. Only thing is will there be signal degradation doing this, any av geniuses know?

My PS4 copies of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and FIFA 14 arrived from Amazon today. Brilliant- the console doesn't get posted to me for another week or so! Grrrrr

Popped into Game today to ask about my phase 3 pre-order of my PS4. He said there's no official date but he said given the amount of phase 3 X-Box's that have been cancelled, I should be ok to pick it up early next week. Not definite and obviously dependent on if alot cancel or don't pick their orders up but exciting news.

Whether they actually get there before Christmas or not I don't know, seems too good to be true but this site was linked from the Playstation UK site so they are an endorsed seller.

Cheers mate! I've bought from shopto before and Ive heard they're pretty good for delivering stuff sooner rather than later. Its quite a bit more expensive than other places but I suppose thats to be expected if theyre still guaranteeing delivery before xmas

I bought just the console and Killzone for £400 which is the same as everywhere else, £350 for the console and £50 for the game.

 

I didn't need the years PS+ subscription as I already have it for my PS3 and Vita. 

DKW how are you finding the new xbox? Is it really worth splashing out on it right now?

If you can afford it and you want a shiny new toy to plat with then its great fyn, the snap to is a great idea not really utilised yet but fun to mess around with. Not enough quality games yet really. If your bit overly bothered then probably wait for the next batch of games releases before getting one.

I've pre-ordered PS4 but admittedly, X-Box has the better day 1 releases. Ryse and Dead Rising 3 both look fantastic. Not overly impressed with PS4's releases but the new games will come soon.

 

Only 1 more day!

Beginning to regret ordering from Game. I should have risked it and picked one up on the day. Im "phase 3". Phase 2 can collect their machines so I'm not far behind but its annoying having to wait. When I ordered, I said to the guy in Game that im not too bothered about getting it on launch day but now its here I want one!

My wife said they were available to buy off the shelf in Game today but you had to buy their bundles the smallest of which included 3 games so would set you back £500.

That's criminal, especially with Christmas coming up.

I'll probably end up getting one eventually but not before there's a half decent selection of games to chose from. Watch Dogs does look interesting but the launch games look quite uninspiring.
