Sorry, Jonty, I didn't realise that link gave anything away.  I thought it just said what a great episode the next (and last!) one is going to be. But..if it;s the last episode that means the DVD will soon be out, Yippee!

Im reading the first book now,

 

How accurate is it? I have the next two books (the two parts after this season)

 

so if possible... id just read those whilst knowing im missing anything major

Well, the books came first, so they're bound to be accurate!  But so far the films have been pretty  true to the original - minor details like Tyrion getting a not too ugly scar instead of losing his nose altogether, which would have been gross!

 

Having read the books in no way spoils the films for me - I really look forward to seeing how they;re going to portray each storylilne.

Season is over, what a great episode.

 

A long bloody wait until April 2015 now then...

I away from home for a few days so will have to wait till Thursday to see it. Can I connect to a link with Kindle Fire? And if so can someone please post one?

I'm a tad underwhelmed from that.

 

Perhaps it was because I knew what was coming.

After the opening five minutes I feared they were going to cheat us with another episode about the Wall!

 

A shame to lose more good characters.

Well that's the season...probably the worst of the four...still watchable and there were some highlights, Joffrey being the most stunning...but lots of burble and in the grand scheme of things, the overall plot hasn't moved on that much...I mean daenerys spent the whole season dealing with trivial slave issues and politics from her throne...bit of a non-event...roll on season 5...in another year I suppose

The problem is most storylines are coming to the end of their book counterparts. And Dany's story in particular has dragged on and on in the books.

In my opinion, the 4th and 5th books are a noticeable dip in quality, as lots of time is spent with new characters and even more unresolved plotlines.  I am hopeful that the tv show can figure out how to streamline everything into an enjoyable experience, but I would not be surprised if it starts losing viewers over the next 1-2 seasons.
