just Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Being reported in the media here that Pellegrini's first job when taking the hot seat at Citeh is to try and convince Sergio Aguerro to stay at the club. Now I admit, I love Aguerro. His movement, skill, work rate, predatory instinct............. everything. He is the player we should have brought three seasons ago. So, if the stories are true, and he does want to move, how much should we spend to get him to SW6?
Uno Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I would take him but City wouldnt sell him to us. If he is to leave and this isnt just a ploy to get a pay rise then i would expect him to go back to Spain.

But that shouldn't stop us bidding for a player we should have got for probably a third of the cost three years ago.
ForeverCarefree Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 He's picked up a few injuries this season so I think there are question marks about his fitness now. Also would take a hefty fee to buy him from a title rival and I think for the same money you could buy Cavani or Lewandowski which would be my preference. Quality player though.
Uno Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Didnt he have a note in his contract when City bought him saying he couldnt sign for Madrid for two years. Well those two years are up now. #Justsaying!
Charles Ryder Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 His first training session with David would be interesting.
Castiel Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 They wouldn't sell him to us or another domestic rival. If he's leaving he'll probably go back to Spain.
Charles Ryder Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I think he'd be superb at Barca alongside Messi.
Teritus Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I think he'd be superb at Barca alongside Messi. That is to say, on one of the wings as there's no way they'd move Messi from the middle. They could switch formations but it's never a drastic change for Barca, it seems.
Jonty Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Very much doubt we'll ever see him in a Chelsea kit but he is a fantastic player, very few strikers in world football have his combination of class and work-rate.

That's what they're saying is part of the reason for Falcao potentially going to Monaco. Couple of years there then off to Real Madirid.

Las7 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Kun and Messi barely work at international level I'd expect him to sign for Real rather than Barca - they can't sign Falcao right now and their fans have been disappointed with Benzema and Huguin this season. I'm sure that if Kun becomes available he would be Real's main target in the summer.
PloKoon13 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 This seems like a real long shot, simply because it's too good to be true. If we signed Aguero I think I would genuinely need new pants
BlueBeard Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 If he does join Chelsea it will only be in order to retrieve his studs from David Luiz's arse
