On the eve of our last day of glory...

 

The last clips of Drogba saluting the crowd and then holding his hands in front of his face in disbelief is an image that shutters me and will be always burned in my mind!!!  Not sure how to quite do it but I plan on blowing that image up to a 16x20in photo and framing that on my wall...

 

May we have more of these types of celebrations in the future!!!

Tingles and tears in my eyes again! Especially when Drog steps up to take the penalty. I remember saying to my niece, "it's destiny for him to win it for us" and then thinking "sh*t, that's exactly what I said in Moscow"!

Funny how this never gets boring :-)

AND....This certainly isnt one last time......We ll remind ourselves with it often for a long long time......Or maybe till Lamps scores a winner in a EUROPEAN CUP FINAL we may get into in the future

May be the last time from 2012 but hopefully not our entire History!! But yes, 5 simple words:

We know what we are.

After our Europa League win, a ManU fan at work congratulated me with a smirk on his face, saying "it's nice that you managed to win something this season"(obviously implying that Europa is a tin pot cup).

I replied: "well, Chelsea is now only the fourth club ever to have won all three major UEFA competitions and I didn't see ManU on that list".  He shut up and quickly went back to work...

 

Double champions of Europe (still for a few hours), we know what we are!

I think it is important we don't enter a Liverpool like cycle of harping on about history. The incredible story of 2012 well be finally put to bed come the end of tonight. We must now look at how we can be there again. The future is more important in the past.

The goosebumps I get from this is incredible.

I'm actually watching the Kings of Europe doc right now and seeing the Ramires goal against Barca just makes my skin tingle, when you see the thing as a whole you feel how special the whole thing really was. Winning the final is definitely my proudest moment as a Chelsea fan but I feel privileged that we've had so many especially in my years of supporting since the mid 90s.

Seen three coach loads of Munich fans today, and four Dortmund, brings it all back, seems like yesterday.

I'm sure I am like the rest of you when I say that the 19th May 2012 was one of the most thrilling, exciting, fantastic and emotional evenings of my life. I am looking forward to tonight's final as a neutral game - but god do I wish to see Chelsea in this final again soon :)

Currently in London to see Muse but there are so many yellow shirts of Dortmund around London. Making loads of noise too!

Same here, man I cried after we won this. I just couldn't believe it after all the years of hurt. I remember nearly been in tears when Didier stepped up, I just prayed to god and said please don't let him miss.

I hope Dortmund win. It would mean so much more to them.

I don't necessarily agree with that, Bayern have lost the last 2 finals they were in I think it would mean a hell of alot to them.

I just couldn't believe it after all the years of hurt.

In retrospect it felt so much better after Moscow, Øvrebø, Frisk and all that.

Same here its impossible to watch without getting filled with emotion, and like ive said ever since, if we never win it again atleast we can say we have seen us as the Champions of Europe.

250k Dortmund supporters had applied for tickets within 24 hours after they'd secured their place in the final. They haven't had a proper shot at the cup with big ears since they won it in the '90s and they probably won't have another shot anytime soon. Yes, Bayern have lost finals recently, but Dortmund haven't been in a European final in over a decade. Bayern will be competing for the trophy next year and the year after that. I'm not sure if Dortmund will be there.

Yeah that's true but they did do a domestic cup double last season but I'm sure they will struggle to challenge for titles after this season but I think it will mean just as much to Bayern they've lost two finals in three years and that hurts.
