GTA V

Sitting in my last lesson and then running home to get my first taste of the game... i swear this lesson never ends

I dont think mine was quite that long.

Certainly felt that way for me! I was on my knees in front of the tv, controller in hand, yelling "hurry the f**k up!" every 30 seconds

Just take the time to have a look at the map whilst the game is installing, you won't regret it.

I've barely scratched the surface and I'm having a ball.

I've just had a bad drug trip which involved mowing down an army of aliens with a mini-gun; after that I infiltrated the 'Life Invader' offices and rigged a smart phone with a bomb before proceeding to blow Mark Zuckerberg's head off, live on television. This game is manic.

So how's everyone striking the balance between the main story missions and exploring/side activities? I try to do a bit of both, likewise switching characters frequently.

I plowed on with the main missions until i'd unlocked all three characters.

Now that I've done that I'm doing more side activities, like the Strangers and Freaks ones. I chased down a mugger who had taken a lady's purse. He ran across a main road and got spectacularly hit by a car and went flying! I simply picked up the purse from his broken corpse and handed it back to the grateful woman.

There are so many things to do I don't really know where to start most of the time! I enjoyed doing the first bank heist, very cool. I chose to go in smart, instead of all guns blazing. I like that the game gives you that choice.

I think this game has been over hyped. I know its early days yet, i have played it for about 4 hours but so far i've not found it to be that amazing.

I have played better games.

hopefully it will get better though.

Lol just naw

It's 4 times bigger than the last one and scale wise it's about the same size as San Francisco.

It's the best game that's ever been made, simple.

Map size doesn't make a good game, lol.

I haven't even played but is there really just that one main city? The rest of the map based on images looks like lots of... wilderness.

Yeah but Los Santos is huge! There are other towns and villages scattered about. There is a town right on the north end of the map, which i haven't visited yet. But you're right, there is a lot of "wilderness" but it isn't just empty space.

The game has everything.

Size

Variety

Multiple playable characters

Surprises

The city is alive and there is so much going on you will never notice it by just doing the missions.

It's an outstanding game and as most have acclaimed including the MGS creater the best ever

Anyone slept with a stripper yet?

Not had the time since I bought GTA tbh

Don't think it will go down much in price zeta, 35.99 in Asda isn't too bad.

Games like this will keep that price long after Christmas such is the volume it's selling.

I love the GTA IV references strewn throughout the game, I just managed to randomly bump into a certain old friend who will now be available to help out with heists.

My first one went off largely without a hitch, opted for the 'smart' approach. I chose the best getaway driver and the second best hacker but made the mistake of getting the cheapest gunman who managed to crash his bike during the escape which cost us a big chunk of the takings. Ah well, you live and learn.

Michael and Franklin are laying low at the moment, and I've just been introduced to Trevor.

I'm at the same stage! My cheap gunman crashed his bike too, the idiot. You get what you pay for, it seems! Done two missions with Trevor, he's hilarious!
