I don't disagree about the arrogance, but personally couldn't care less. In terms of workrate/contribution I don't think he'd do anything less than Drogba currently does, is still more than capable of 10+ goals per season, and for me is still one of the best target men currently in world football. The club would be nuts to pass up the chance to sign Zlatan.

You've said this in a different thread - what makes you so certain Kalas is ready to replace one of our key players? Ivanovic has showed no signs of decline and Kalas has played at best ten games at right back for Boro, and his only previous experience in the role is at Vitesse, in a league where the standard of defending is hardly Zambrotta-level. I think he could do with a bit of top-flight experience first...

LoL thats never going to happen. Mourinho is not about to sell one of his most trusted defenders and replace him with Kalas. If Ivanovic ends up being sold (cant see that happening either) its going to be Azpi at RB

In fairness I think it's more naivety than anything else i.e. saying all our loanees should be sold. In fact, a fair few posters always put the "deadwood" including half our squad on the "sell" list in the "ideal squad next season thread".

Two identical posts in two pages!! Praz you do not have a clue. Ivanovic got in the premier league 11 this year, why would we sell him and replace him with kalas. Ivan isnt going anywhere he is about as bolted on to the first team as hazard and terry. Your other posts about us selling everyone are so repetitive and idiotic!! Considering our success this season whilst complying with ffp why would we change so much. 1 or 2 upgrades to add to squad depth is all we need.

We would miss him massively, even if we managed to get a really good fee for him.

He may have had a decent season but IMO he is not playing in his natural position.  During games he wanders towards the middle of the pitch and virtually ends up in a right centre back position leaving a massive expanse of real estate on our right side.  Maybe I am old fashioned but I want my defenders to defend first and play in an attacking role as a secondary consideration.  Ivan spends far too long lingering around the opponents box or area when one of our attacks break down, when he should be acting as a defender to the opponents counter attack, especially down our right side.  To me we have two excellent naturally positoned players in Luis and Dave.  If Ivan stays then he should play in one of the two central defender positions next year. JT will more than likely play less games so Ivan would not be sat on the bench every week.   Let him go...the future is already here..
