Didn't play in either League match.

So in 13 Barry matches in the past 6 and a bit seasons, we've won 4, drawn 2 and lost 7 against sides with Barry in them. Not saying this is because of him..indeed at City he was obviously surrounded by class players. But I can't think of many with a better record against us...apologies for the tangential thread, need a scapegoat after this evening!

Those who dribble over big marquee name signings might not like it, but we are short in midfield and we definitley could've done a lot worse than Barry.

he played well but I thought mikel and Ramires ran the midfield for most of the match and if schurrle had took his chances we would have had a more comfortable afternoon.

Should of been booked, hazard and Ramires beat him easily at times. Why any Chelsea fan would ever think we should have considered him il never know.

Amazing that we can’t  beat the likes of Gareth Barry and Leon Osman. They along with Barkley played well imo. How crap were we?

I wouldn't say we were crap just didn't take our chances.

Eto wasted better chances than Schurrle.

Doubt he would have been any upgrade on Mikel.

I thought Barry should have been booked quite early on but Webb was poor in spotting the continual late tackles.Mikel is a much better player imo.We were guilty of not taking our chances and on another day could have been clear by half time.Eto will get sharper. To have 21 goal attemts at Goodison and come away with nothing says it all.One of those days.Oh and if Webb is one of our top referees we need some new ones.

Was extremely disappointed with Webb, 4 Chelsea players booked but a number of Everton players made just as bad challenges that went unpunished. I know many refs do it but he seemed to react to the crowd reaction more than most.

not seen the highlights on tv but schurrle should given the defender no chance with that cut back to eto'o, he also blazed over the bar in the first half from inside the area when he should have hit the target at least. He then missed the target early second half when he was through.

I'm not sure why so many people are so surprised. He's always been a quality player, and very underrated.

I used to go to Villa Park a fair bit when he was there, and he was often the best player on the pitch for either team. He's a solid performer whose lack of pace seems to lead some people to conclude that he's nothing special, but if you watch him for a whole match, on and off the ball, you'll see how good he is.

He couldn't run a bath, sorry too the fans of him on here but I counted multiple times he gave the ball away sloppily on Saturday, I think Van Ginkel would do a much better job in there.

And Eto'o missed a good header, the chance that Barry blocked, the rebound of Hazard shot and a chance from Ivans cross.Schurrle little chip early in the second half i thought was quite unlucky.

Well you must of watched a different game to me lol I'm not a fan but a bit harsh to dig him out on Saturdays performance.

fair enough only saw the re run today, and I agree eto'o missed a few as well.

we dominated possession, and mikel was a major reason for this. He also carried the ball better than usual yesterday, he divides opinion but we have more possession when he plays.
